This tutorial is wonderful. Simple, straightforward, and pretty fast. Thanks to you, I'm now gonna practice making more wallpapers with * ahem * "jiggle" in them. (unfortunately, the first one I was attempting alongside this had its smooth animations go "wavy" near the "more important areas" for. . . you know. I don't know how to fix them :(
Thanks, Vell. I love your wallpapers and now that I discovered your UA-cam channel I can begin to follow the absolute expert into the void of customizing!
Thanks man, I'm making a wallpaper with the exact same image, it will be customisable (with the other variations of the image i found that the artist did)
Loved the Tutorial, Vell do you have any video o any youtube link where they show how to animate a pulsating light effect on any picture? Like animating a Light Bulb on any picture with a pulsating light or similar? thanks!
i dont think i have any videos on it and i havnt actually used wallpaper engine in close to 2 years, but generally you would use the pulse effect for controling things like lights. there should be tutorials for it somewhere
@@secreswallowtail8585 depends what you want it to do, your object starts in the middle of whatever your shake movement is going to do. if you leave the direction default then if you paint say going to the right over your object your shake will move the object from the center point to the right, then back to the center point and an equal distance to the left then back to the center point. if you set it to left, the it wont do the right portion of the movement and just move to the left then back to the center point. keep in mind left doesnt mean left, it means opposite of the direction you painted in or the correct direction depending on which way you painted. it makes sence when you work with it for a while. for random movements leave it default, for specific movements like blinking set it to either left or right so it only plays half the animation.
The exact animation i made in this video no it was just to demo the movement. but i did eventually use the same image in a wallpaper steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1543233471
not through wallpaper engine directly no. you can play the wallpaper in a popout window through the main wallpaper engine window and capture that window with something like OBS to screen record and save that out as an mp4
you can change the animation start time of a shake by changing the color of the shake phase, instead of using the brush to paint parts on just select a strength value and press the clear button to "paint dump" the entire shake phase mask and then make any additional changes starting from that value. So one of your shakes starts at 255 strength and the other you paint dump something like 220. you can then add more shake phase . Im not 100% sure if thats what you were asking but if its not lemme know.
Im trying to use shake, but its causing my other effects to move out of their masked areas. how can i have my effects move with my shake? I know you havent been on in a while but it would really help me out
the order of the effects in the layer effect lists matters the smaller and more percises effects go at the top of the effects list and the larger more broad ones go at the bottom ( i think i could have that backwords) so if you have a waterwaves hair effect, and then a shake effect on the body below it, it will move the hair effect along with your shake, if you have the water waves effect below the shake the shake wont move the water waves and it will misalign on the layer because its not moving. I honestly dont know how they interact with masked areas, i didnt use masks much i went with the slightly more advanced separating individual objects into their own layers to animate independantly approch. but you could try something janky like, you can export your mask then reimport your black and whte mask as its own image layer, the duplicate your shake effect that is moving your object onto the black and white mask so its now moving, then use that animated mask image layer as your mask, by draging and dropping it into the original image layers mask window.. lol i have no idea if that would actually work or solve your issue but other then that i dont have any ideas its probably been close to a year since iv used wallpaper engine.
for some reason, everytime i move my screen or zoom in or out, the places that i had shaded to not move follow my screen. for example, if i shaded the image at the bottom left hand corner to not move, but then maybe moved the image or zoomed in to shade somewhere else, that left hand shaded part would move to whatever part of the image was in my left hand corner of my screen, and its makes doing this very hard, any idea why this might be?
are you applying the shake effect directly to the image or did you add a fullscreen layer and add the shake effect to that? Your problem sounds like your animating on a fullscreen layer.
@@VellAnimations yeah, i realised after alot of frustrated attempts that i was working on the fullscreen layer haha, but i got it all fixed and thanks to your tutorial, i managed to animate a botw link pic :D
I bought his works on gumroad but I can't use them well...BTW, I wanna avoid the hair avulsion when I add a shake to the breasts.Dude, could u give me any advice?
The only way to have part of the image be effected by the shake is to separate the part you dont want moving onto its own layer. you would need to cut that part of the hair out in a program like photoshop or GIMP

Cool video, You are good at this. Can you make a link to you workshop, in the description ?

Is it possible to offset 2 animations? For example, make 2 animations of "shake" be of the same time but look a little more advanced than the other?

Is there's way to save it as gif or video?
not directly through wallpaper engine, you would need to use a screen recording software to create a video of the animation
