He's up against Andy. Andy is like a multi-time world record holder for various ALTTP speedrun categories and is widely regarded as one of the best randomizer players. The odds of someone like that making a serious enough error to counteract this routing issue are really minimal. I feel bad for Brogor, but I kinda get it.
@@heathers.7755I agree his chance of winning was very slim but it’s disrespectful to opponents, castors, trackers, fans, etc that took time out of their day to make this race happen/watch the race. If I was speedgaming I would think twice before having him in anymore tournaments.
I feel it must be said - I definetly feel these kind of tournaments are primarly for players, and having it benefit the audience is secondary goal. Spoiler log is definetly a mode where making a routing mistake can take away the whole fun of a run. It can feel like being forced to play a 90 minute football match, while knowing you wont be able to touch ball even once - because for some people it is not execution that is fun part, it is the routing. Being able to forfeit if you dont think you will have fun continuing a run feels essential to healthy competitive scene.
@GrzesiuG44 then they need an official forfeit mechanic in the game instead of forcing Andy and the rest of the crew to finish the race. As that doesn't exist he should have finished the race. It's no more than we expect from 10 year old kids playing sports.
Why do the announcers in these spoiler log races read the spoiler log ahead of time and then share with the audience? Basically gives us zero reason to watch it
Oof.
I understand pulling a misroute but at least finish the race, you never know what's going to happen or if your opponent also makes a mistake.

Why would they need forfeit mechanic specificaly "in game", and the racetime.gg's forfeit wouldn't be enough?
