I would have loved if there was also the opposite of the vacuum compartment:
A land structure that you can fill with water (though requiring a lot of water to keep it if you don’t connect it to a constant water source), being helpful with amphibian breeding and especially in Aberration to keep anglerfish on a platform base.
It would be nice. Then I could finally finish my zoo.

Console ark isn’t that bad it lags a bit but still or is that just me
MrBossFTW and a whole lot more no I don’t really have frame issues until I come across a mega base, then it’s like 30-40, if it’s raining it drops to 20 for some reason. This game has pretty poor optimisation I suppose.

Use a ladder to line things up. And install the fog remover for the Jurassic Park Series.
Maybe do one with a subnautica feel? Passageways connecting different pods/rooms for different purposes. A storage room, a lab, sleeping quarters, kitchen/dining, moon pools, some observation rooms. Just to give it that underwater city/colony feel.
Syntac, instead of doing ramps to get on the Tek elevator you can remove the bottom of the vacuum compartment and replace it with 3 ceilings and the elevator.

I once made a river base. It was good. I had my snails on breeding and they made and army. I ended up killing them all except the one with a color mutation.
Use a ladder (any kind) to center yourself to the tile. Place, climb and centered

You should have some sort of underwater loft under the base for the karkinos with a moon pool just above it (Or some other creature, just some ideas)

idk that issue seems to be only on s+, there are a few problems such as you can see that when u create that box it is creating a bigger effect [i dont know how to explain that.] i think there might be a few things that need to be fixed there.

Syntac you should have a little fish/eel/shark/dolphin pen in the middle of a room of the base you could either make a little middle tower part for the pen or suspend a little tank by making a hole in the top swimming a creature down closing the pen and removing the top

In order to build underwater without it flooding the compartments have to be sealed in. You have the opening at the top
“ I wish I could put the moon pool at the top” just replace the top vacuum compartment with a moon pool then it’s at the top of the bottom one

Hey Syntac why don't you try placing a ladder to help you line things up? Ladders automatically line you up with the structures your standing on when you climb them. Just place one down climb and then dismount. You will be perfectly aligned as long as you don't move your camera left or right.
Add a shark docking bay that has a moo pool entrance into the base
Make a separate room underneath to hold creatures or as a pit of death
U have to have an outer air layer that’s always drained so that it doesn’t get flooded

Why is the sea floor so dead looking?
Pacpoo: The irl sea floor is actually very well populated in most places, as that's where life began. But yeah, the ARK devs just didn't bother as most people won't see it due to the water's opacity. Mods, however, make the water unnaturally clear, leading to how things look in this video.

How I wish they would add some or all of s+ to the core game giving access to more than pc gamers. Not being able to line things up sends me crazy! And that’s just one aspect of the mod.

u cant use the tek doors to keep water out they are only to stop players and dinos. every time u change something anywhere on any compartment it will flood everything also u dont need all the other compartments if ur useing tek elevator they dont need to be connected just above each other. the reason u cant place stuff on the joins is cause the parts have a small gap between them.
u should use the tek storage boxs they sort everything out way better

Syntac you can flood the compartiment above the tek elevators so you wont need the tek armor. And for the observatory you can put a compartiment with glass structures around, the yust open the compartiment and drain the water
