I wish I didn't have to start over from the beginning when miss getting the 5th gem. It's nice thinking I could fully complete this. But I don't seem to have the skills. Thank you for sharing though. I may just leave this one unfinished.
I am having the exact same problem as you… The fifth sparkle is eluding me and I have tried it over and over at least a dozen times now… I really don’t understand why they did not implement a checkpoint system in this game. It’s 2024. It brings it from a 9.5/10 game to a 5/10 game… that’s how bad the no-checkpoint system hinders it. Very sad to see.
Completed the game and almost finished the post game. The 5th sparkle gem for this play is the only thing I'm missing. I'm hoping I can finally get it today. Edit: I got the 5th gem!!!!! I thought I was going to miss it again as I made a mistake towards the end of the section. I didn't get all the jump marks at once, but I was able to skate and get the one I missed before it disappeared. I'm so glad I finally got it!!!!
