I loved this idea so much. After a really hard year losing my dad to a very quick & painful cancer battle I’ve struggled to find good in it. Tonight I created my own spread (not as pretty) and I’ll fill it in over the next week or so. Thank you for being so open on your channel!
Yay! I finally saw you use the crop-a-dial! And this spread is amazing! I think it’s in my top 5 favorite spreads that I’ve seen you create! I’m a digital planner now, but I may just add a page and do this!
I just wrapped up a corporate retreat last week and one of our questions was "what do you not want to carry in to 2023". For you, Mary Ellen, I want you to BRING FORTH all of the love that I know you are surrounded with!
So festive and inviting! I came back to add I love the sound of Bumble! I had a Yorkie for 15 years. He acted like a puppy till about age 6. Then with age he got more attached to being near me and he got quieter. I think it's so wonderful that you will have recordings of Bumble to listen to long after rainbow bridge has called.
I know how you feel about the pictures and memories. I buried my son in May 2019. There are no words to describe the hell I love thru daily. But, life goes on and my son would want me to move on. There are good days. And there are bad days. This is the new normal.
Yeah. I hate the new normal but it is what it is and my son would also want me to try to be happy so I’m doing my best for him. But yes, there are bad days. Especially this week. It’s rough. I’m sorry you share this pain.
I love these “The Best of 2022” type spreads! I make mine on blank sheets in a Happy Planner notebook so I can have them all in one place. I am currently “back planning” pages for years before I discovered Happy Planner when I only used pen and calendars. Thanks for all the pleasure you bring us in your videos. 🎉
Hi Mary Ellen - Enjoyed this video (duh, like always lol!) but did notice that when you mentioned the 'dirt' spots - it's probably the ink from the monthly divider page rubbing against it - especially if it's a darker ink or print on the divider - I found that on one of mine that the more I used my planner and 'moved' it around, the worse the 'abrasion' marks from the divider - I finally figured out that if I just cut a piece of vellum to fit the planner and insert it, it takes care of the rubbing and marks appearing! (but it won't help wine stains!! - ugh, I cried with you girl!)
Mary Ellen honey you are the cutest! I get a kick out of your videos. Your very transparent. Do apologize for doing you or making mistakes! That’s what makes it original. When your going thru grief your brain doesn’t function on all cylinders you feel numb! I understand that brain 😢
I love this idea to do a yearly positive recap for December! Such a fun way to look back on the year. My dog enjoyed grumbling along with Bumble as we watched 🤍🐾
Cute page! I was thinking, maybe save one sticker empty sticker page to use for cutting around the stickers instead of cutting them in your book? That way your page stays intact?
Those boxes lined up perfectly! I love this page. I plan to use a currently page in one of my planners as a memories page. Whether it be for that month or a throw back to another years memories of the same month.

My little Yorkie does the same as Bumble! When I am doing my makeup or planner or anything other than paying attention to her she growls, jumps and does everything to get my attention back to her🤣😂
Mary Ellen, Thank you for creating this and sharing this with us. I was trying to come up with an end of year type page and this is perfect. My son's 2yr death anniversary is the 28th and Man oh man do I truly know what you mean when you say things. It's never easy but it gets better. I have been on the struggle bus a lot with this lately. I think it's the holiday season and not having him with us. I'm sure you totally understand that I am as always sending prayers and hugs for you.

Ah, yes, it probably is! Thanks, I’m not going to add a vellum page, I’ll just live with the marks since it’s not all the time. Good idea though!
