This is a kickass bike, decently light, amazing specs, cruise contorl, adjustable suspension, KTM has a winner and they have me hooked. Bookings open here in a few days and Ill be checking it out for sure!
This bike has the credentials to shake up the whole mid weight adventure bike segment: - decent, not entry level, suspension with enough travel in an A2 package - poky engine, with more grunt at the bottom compared to its predecessor, and even the old 390 was hard for bikes like a V-Strom 650 to get rid of in the real world - around 25 kg lighter compared to the lightest twins in the segment, which eats up at least a bit of the power adavantage from these twins and makes it easier to handle in the dirt - full electronics package, and KTM knows what they are doing... at least in this regard, I am not talking camshafts. - finally: cruise control in an A2 bike. Suzuki is unable to give us this feature in a V-Strom 800 for reasons only Suzuki knows.
I think this bike will really hit a sweet spot. Up until now, the Honda crf300 rally was the best, small adventure bike, but with this KTM having a slightly bigger engine, and a few extras, I think it will most likely be the better bike. The Honda struggles a bit on the freeway, but the ktm I suspect will have just that little bit more power, and will hit that sweet spot.
If the suspension is softer and with more travel than the old model and if KTM fixed the problem with the front end being to low, making it impossible to ride standing up, and if the price is right KTM could be on to something here.
This model has some of the Powerparts already added including the front disk cover which is new to the catalogue, the Remus sports performance exhaust pipe should fit with the new cat" and the tank holds 17Litres. Looks like I`m trading my 24Duke390 on this. I love kTm😁.
Im 5'7 and this seems like itll be a difficult task to get my foot down on thiw bike. As long as i can get 1 goot down, im fine. Unfortunately none of the videos i have seen till now have mentioned or demonstrated the height
This bike is looking like it will make choosing my first above-125 bike a difficult choice! Between things as far apart as something like the Honda GB350S and this! I know we've only got the looks to go on with this, for the most part, if I assume it's at least as capable as the last 390 adventure, that's going to be VERY tempting!
How so? It's the same exact bike with a little less plastic. If you ride mostly offroad or backroads, the enduro will be fine. But if you spend any time on the highway, the screen, fairing and presumably larger fuel tank on the Adventure will more than make up for the extra weight.
@@jakeviolet2195 You nailed it! Some wind protection, bigger tank... more range. If i want a all out offroad weapon i woud get something like a 250 - 350 exc.
They nailed it finally deserve Adventure name
damn this is basically exactly what i've been looking for

Ktm has made it with this one ❤ this package is just too good.
Mind how you go through river crossings with the low slung exhaust.
thats a prototype--it will be a higher exhaust
Dont call it cheap, call it budget friendly please. It's a Fantastic machine.
Whats the weight????
Does the 390 have the cam issues?
I don't think it will be cheap, it is not lighweight, but it sure is a good looking bike
Weighs more then Trail 125 & less then Africa Twin

Is it US bound??
I wonder if that is a power parts skid plate. It looks tough for an OEM.
Power parts. Akra PP. Disccover Front PP.

Super nice. KTM 390 adv owner:)
What is seat height of adv r?
885mm for the R and 825mm for the X
@ it doesn’t look like 885 mm looks like 855 - 860
Cheap? Poor choice of word, and the right one is "Affordable". . .
I’m not sure why this has to exist when they make the 690. Far less weight, more power, more torque, more travel.

How much $
Where is 390 ADV X??
Will this bike even show up with All the KTM banckruptcy ??
Cruise control is epic...
Seat height?
885 as per a leaked spec, would be 865 atleast. Quite the tall boy.
That exhaust is in a terrible position 🤷♂️
296mm disc at the rear… no chance
That will be a mistake
Could've called it affordable or accessible, nah, had to call it cheap.

Love the ADV R, not sure what the point of the Enduro and SMC are. Going to be 170kg bikes.
Dr-z4s and sm are better in that respect. But they're 5 speed 😢
Ono balesane tenana sing perilakune Ning uripku Ra bener sok Ono balesane wong duso tetep duso.
Too bad they went bankrupt last week.
Enduro version is way better
No
Why?
@ lighter, and more capable off-road
