This happened to me, too: when I really got into their music, I started to prefer their German music. It feels more authentic, even though Henning's English is very good & he has no accent at all. But somehow he sounds more sincere when he sings in German.
The original song was really popular in the early 2000s in Europe, I saw them live in 2004 at some big festival (probably Rock am Ring but I'm not totally sure, was a long time ago). It is really good and I personally prefer the original over AMKs version. :)
