I like heavy and soft MIW songs..... as a 28 year old I find their evolution amazing one of the FEW metal bands that can do it all. My favorite song will always be WE ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT of the Creatures album.

MIW have found a great way to balance exploring new grounds with heavy stuff from their roots. Most of my favourites are heavy tracks from all their past albums, but they've found a way to make their soft songs very convincing and emotional. I've never really looked at the softer songs as them selling out. They're a great outlet for some of the deep feelings within the band, and a lot of people resonate with those songs. As to why they're always played more, I guess they're easier to digest by the pop-listening majority. I have seen a number of comments on the last few heavy singles saying they don't like the screams and basically wish the songs would be like Voices or Another Life, because that's the MIW they love. So, it goes both ways.

As a fan, I greatly appreciate Chris for being such a great Musician and artist to interview. Most of these guys give one word responses but Chris will give you as much information as he can. He just seems like a genuinely great person. He makes everyone of his interviewers feel comfortable and you can observe that by body language.
