Vader with a hood is such a hardcore drip I'm telling you

Dr Task
Doom Master
@@lex_one-two
Reminds me of darth Malgus, one of my favourite sith.
Gotta be honest, didn't see anything dripping off the hood
Like Master Chief in halo with a poncho
Gets hit with Palpatine Lightning. "Power at 400% capacity" Darth, " Well how bout that!"
I mean, even with his suit badly damaged or shut off, he's used the force to keep himself alive before to repair or get it up and running again.
😂 that would have been so dope
Hell yeah
Palapatine: wait WAT?
That new Suit for Vader would be scary.
Hell yeah..no top helmet piece but a hooded look . While keeping. The whole FACE PIECE....
You figure with Anakin's proclivity for tinkering with things that he would eventually upgrade the suit to some extent.
Well, that's what is interesting with Vader's suit. Due to Anakin's skills in tinkering and robotics he did make minor upgrades and small adjustments. Those adjustments only made his suit more practical and ever so slightly easier to work with. It wasn't a full suit overhaul like what's being described in this video.
@@lilithsenesca2535 Vader was also adamant that Anakin was dead. In the comics he would kill some of those who recognized him. its not too far of a stretch to think he would avoid Anakin's tinkering side to further widen the divide of personality
@ProjectSwietek Yeah, but it's a skill no one would just abandon. Especially if you're someone like Vader. It is canon that Vader has worked on a few ships. Especially his personal ship, as he said, he only made minor adjustments to make his suit slightly more bearable. But he never fixed it completely to torture himself. The darkside is fed by rage and pain.
@@theplaguesrage5310 true, vader also modified his lightsaber to have an extended length if he desired. But i still think he didnt want to upgrade his suit because he would be more like his former self in terms of movement and agility.
@@ProjectSwietek And the video did say transferring to the new suit that was offered would most likely kill him.
Vader in an upgraded suit would be Dr. DOOM. Lol
Don't know how old you are but you just earned the eternal respect from an old, retired guy. Kevin Feige is the only person that can get Doctor Doom right. He nailed Iron Man. Doom has some skills Reed Richards can't touch. You don't realize how close you are to the truth.

a full sprint vader would be terrifying
i'm just imagining him with the power of vader and the speed and agility of anakin
@@joshuarobinson6011 Grevous' agility.
Probably something along the lines of Nemesis from Resident Evil 3. Whether original or remake, seeing that massive bastard go at you at full sprint is borderline horrifying.
He can fly at you tho, thats even worse
If all the books weren't decanonized, Vader was working on getting less dependent on the suit, during his times where he was in a state of meditation outside of the suit, he was force healing his body but the damage took a lot of work from his ability in using the force
he would do it using the dark side and as soon as the pain subsided he would weaken in the dark and lose focus, causing the healing to be undone
You're correct, he did heal his lungs, but as soon as the dark side kicked in it was undone.
Anakin had so much anger that he endured that pain for decades to kill the rest of the jedi
Hell, he had so much anger he was able to keep himself alive when his suit was destroyed in the the comics.
@@marcussinclaire4890 pretty skibidi that one
Imagine a Darth Vader that upgraded his suit in a way where he was part Vader and dark trooper.
Full beskar even the neck. That’s be scary.
Dark Vader?
Hell yea. With jet boots
@@shiestyseanhe can literally fly with out jet boots
That would be frickin badass!
Especially if you include the canon Vader comics, Vader had the skill and resources to upgrade his suit, even if it was behind Palpatine's back. He was shown to be able to rebuild himself on the fly with spare battledroid parts, and had multiple chances to perform the procedure over the years.
The reason he didn't was HIS choice. Either he kept the suit because it made him more focused in the Dark Side, or maybe he did it as punishment to himself.
Or he knew Sid would be furious with him, and it would risk him being attacked by his sith master
I recommand "Shadow of the Empire" from Steve Perry from 1997 , there are great passages - from the point of view from Vader and his thoughts about his Life Support, his Armor.
You also get an explaition, why he´s not completly healing. Eventhough trying , he can even life for some minutes without his Systems. But it requires enormerous strengh in the Dark Side, too much ,even for Vader - and in a preview Video Star Wars Comics already explained , why Old Sith Lods look down on Vader - He still had to much good in him, wich is why he fails Healing himself with the power of the Dark Force / still needs his Suit.
And by keeping his Suit "Unconfortable" ,it helped him imensly staying angry. Anakin was a Soldier , still a formidable Warrior as Vader and he punishes himself with the Suit and uses it at the same time to fuel his anger. If you are in Pain, you easly get very angry from one moment to another -- Pragmatism at is finest. One of Anakins best characteristics ((That´s just my personal bios))
Great book
Darth Vader’s new suit should have been a cloned body. If I were Vader, there is no risk I wouldn’t have taken to get out of that body and suit.
The Empires medical technology sucked. They have a million systems, FTL travel, sentient robots and viable clones but still can't do hand or lung transplants. All this "he has to feel pain to feel anger to power the dark side" is trying to make up reasons why he didn't fixed properly. Why couldn't Luke get a hand graft? In one of Heinlein's books, The Cat Who Walked Through Walls, they keep clones of themselves around with an undeveloped frontal cortex to harvest for spare parts if they need them. Something I would have thought the billionaires of the Empire/Republic would do.
3 words
Terminator t-800 endoskeleton
Apply that line of thought to darth vader
A enhanced battle droid body ensheathed within a living fleshouter body genetic camo wise
Cloned from a surviving sample of anakins dna
His darth vader armor merely being a suit of battle armor now
But the endoskeletal t-800 styled battle droid being controllable to a extent by palpatine with darth vader fully in control of his new flesh and blood clone body
But yeah a much more reasonable sensible melding of living flesh and technology all terminator like
@@mannydavis7708throughout the SW universe, there are numerous instances of Vader's suit being described with this idea being it's core component. Just fueling his "anger" is a bit simplistic. It fuels his anger, shame, grief, revenge, hatred, etc. Most important of which is the constant pain. This is what feeds the dark side/force. These emotions are what give Vader his power. Plus, Palpatine built it. He designed it to hold Vader back so he didn't have to fear him. This is also the reason Vader was so vulnerable to force lightning.
More important than anything, the suit is a symbol of a man who is wounded and hides it. He doesn't show his true wounded self and has lost "feeling" as a result. That's the basic from G Lucas.
After finding out about nanodroids, I’ve been wondering what if they were used to reconstruct Anakin? I’d bet they could be reprogrammed to do so. If they can turn a human into a bomb, they definitely could reconstruct Anakin’s body after mustafar.
an ultimate darth vader suit would be one that causes pain for vader to fuel the dark side
but didnt have weaknesses or hinder his movement or use of the force
Counter argument, the frustration of those imposed and the knowledge that he is more capable would actually cause an additional layer of psychological pain.
@@xMrBlack i guess but I don't think that little extra is greater then what he gains from not being restricted
And darth vader is more of a duelist than force user
@@L_______ ***Was.... he forced that to effectively change by embracing this particular form of suffering
He was still a top tier duelist, but I think this was part of his way of leaning more into the force, and less into raw ability or skill
@@tandava-089 to first lets know what the main scource of vaders dark side
that is pain emotional is mainly due to loss (Shmi and padme) and physically (for many reasons)
not anger, frustration would be a smaller scource of vaders anger as there is alot for him to be angry about
so the suit should max pain and since frustration is sutch a small part unrestrict him this way he could use more force powers and evolve his fighting style further
he would also be less vaunrable to things
to compensate for some of his lost force potential the little fuel he looses due to frustration is minnimal and the benefits are mutch greater
if you want to compensate i guess you could get like pandmes voice to say something like i trusted you and other things or make the suit more uncomfortable and painfull
You assume that Vader wanted to defeat Luke in Return of the Jedi. I don’t think Vader ever wanted to defeat Luke, he wanted to turn Luke to the Dark Side and rule with him. Vader was toying with Luke the whole time, and until Luke used the Dark Side Vader was in complete control. The only thing an upgraded suit would have done for Vader in Return of the Jedi, would be to not allow Palpatine’s Sith Lightning to damage the life support system in his suit. Additionally Vader used Bacta Tanks without his suit in canon. He could have upgraded his suit at any point in time and then gone into a Bacta tank, and have the droids insert him into the new suit after the Bacta treatment.
I imagine if Star Wars came out today we would have had a formal suit for vader and some sort of battle armor for when he stormed Hoth. Would have been a cool aspect to see a difference between them.
For Anikan his hell was staying alive in pain
I like to think that Palpatine cancelled parts orders that Vader placed for improving his suit, and just said "It appears in your order, they have ran out"
That or Palpatine told them to deliberately damage the part he orders or like, forget to put a screw in the package that is essential to the part. I'm imagining Vader being mildly annoyed every time he receives a fucked up order from Space Amazon.
So what you are saying, basically palp wanted anakin to become stronger so he could posses his body, but obi wan beating him made him very weak and so palp turned to get vaders son instead. But because vader struck palp down and luke didnt turn to the dark side palp had no way of coming back....until the sequels ruined everything. We don't talk about them tho
Dark Lord The Rise of Darth Vader explains a lot.
A great book
@@francoisregis2155 it’s been my favorite for a long time (behind Zahn’s work) especially before Disney off’d the EU to Mae a new one.
I mean we get all the deets from Vader’s pov, how he learned to move and destroy Jedi in the suit, his interactions with the Emperor who said “ahhh you don’t like the suit. You feel…vulnerable? Fine. You can make it however you like, Lord Vader, just do not forget who your Master is.”
Tbh Palpatine was true gas lighting master of all time.
They sell the book in a bundle digitally for a few $ & physically at most $10 now, usually with Labyrinth Of Evil & Revenge of the Sith Novelization in an omnibus form.
Cool I don’t know how many times i rented that book at my library.
Labyrinth of evil is also a very good book been I while I have read both maybe I should read them again
Canonically, Vader can sustain himself with the force for extended periods of time
That vader suit in the vid is so cool imo
Vader held back considerably if you compare General Grievous to Darth Vader you can see that Vader was slow. Grievous had multiple abilities without being a force user, and Vader knew it. However Vader for different reasons chose to limit himself.
Pretty sure Vader never "tried" because Papa Palps wouldn't allow it.
No sidious allowed it but Vader knew that the operation would probably end his life and if it didn’t palps prob woulda sabo his surgery so he’d die
@@stevencalef4550 Palpy probably would have had some influence on the suits design. One important feature of the old suit is that it is vulnerable to lightning. Palpy would need the new suit to have this same vulnerability in order to keep Vader in check.
@@rithvikmuthyalapati9754 factssssss that’s a good point too I never thought of ya he def wouldn’t let Vader take that vulnerability out lol
I think vader would risk getting attacked by Master Sid if he would tinker with his suit an give it good upgrades that were more recognizable.
Vader could build droids i think he should've tried fixing his arms to work an do better at minimum
Speaking of Luke, Anakin may have failed to save both his mother Shmi and his wife Padme, but he has succeeded in saving his son Luke, and it's a total shame that Darth Sidious failed to realize that Luke's pleas for his father to help has caused Anakin to successfully arrest, relinquished, and turned against the Dark Side and return back to the Light Side of the Force, and not even the faultiness of Vader's old suit can prevent Luke from calling out to his father.
LIVING OUT OF SHEER ANGER. 😂
I like that image with a hood.
The reason vader died in return of the jedi is because his helmet was removed. Yes the lightning shut his suit down, but inside his suit, there is an emergency power reserve that will keep him going for a little while longer. If he kept his helmet on, he would've survived.
he was only able to cling to life outside it through the dark side but at that point anakin had returned fully and he couldn't hold on with his anger and pain. anakin was ready to letgi
what if Fives wasnt killed of by Fox and came clutch for the Clones.
Take a shot of whiskey every time you hear the words “old suit” or “new suit”
Honestly, I can see upsides and downsides to an upgrades suit. Upsides being he'd be able to duel like his old self again, he'd need to adapt his fighting style again, but he'd a nigh unstoppable lightsaber duelist and now resistant to force lightening. Considering the old suit was somewhat a punishment, I can see it also fueling the dark side of the force for Vader. So, taking the frustrations of the suit away might have actually made him weaker in the dark side.
Okay time to talk about this. Look guys. The movie was made in the 70s. He was supposed to look scary. That's it plain and simple. Sudious in cannon comics TOLD Vader to adjust his siute how he wants.
You would have figured he would have had the suit grounded.
Holy crap, that image of Darth Sidious at 4:13 is terrifying!!!
I am shocked he didnt have any upgrades to electrical or force electrical defense, at some point he planned and focused on getting out from Palpatine's thumb.
When the essay needs to be 30 pages long, video edition.
They covered this in one of the comics. He decided not to upgrade at the last minute as there would be a lengthy time he'd be vulnerable. If the Emperor took his upgrade as a slight or threat he'd have Vader killed at the stage between suits. He was going to try in secret but was still too unsure.
That was just some expanded universe comic though, barley cannon. In my mind the real reason Vader puts up with all the pain, trauma and sleepless nights is because he believes he deserves it.
Fourth degree burns. Yeah, okay. Burns that incinerate bones...
It never made any sense that one of the greatest techs in the galaxy never upgraded his deliberately crude, antiquated suit.
2:16 bro that looks so good
I do like that image you have with Vader in the Hood and upgraded suit.
IIRC, there was two points of why the suit was what it was and never upgraded either... Someone mentioned these, and I've never bothered to research them, but they sound plausible enough to be valid.
The suit he kept was two things: An amplifier for his Dark Force power AND a retention system that kept him alive by whatever the Taboo power Palpatine wielded was.
Beware it's known that a Jedi with a full body has more power. Vader lost limbs and so lost part of his Force
Is force lightening actually the same as electrical lightening? If not, then there would be nothing that could be do to protect yourself from it short of using the force like Yoda did.
For one, Think if I were in his suit, I would consider something that could redirect the Force Lightening at whoever was using it against me.
Its said that vaders strength in a lightsaber battle is like being hit by a meteor crashing on a planets surface. Now with an upgraded suit to give him more mobility would be absolutely TERRIFYING
Vader's suit is as terrifying as the robot suit in The Colossus of New York, which contained the brain of a scientist's son. It's a very old B&W movie made in 1958.
Vader was in the bacta tank so he was disconnected from his suit. He could have got into a new one.
the hookups from his life support system in vaders body were outdated. he would need to be cut into to swap out the connection hookups
@@ProjectSwietek he just needed someone fast with a soldering iron lol.
8:40 so basically vader was cranky
Didn't Vader actively refuse to upgrade his suit because the constant pain and suffering helped fuel his dark side finger-wiggling?
In the cartoon (are they canon?) Maul got his Midi-chlorians back after getting cut if half. Imagine if Vader had gone threw the same process....
clone wars, rebels, and everything else are canon
@@czyprodigy So it would technically have been possible for Vader to have gotten all of the power back that he lost when he lost his limbs.
What Vader and Shevva had a child😅🎉😂❤ True Dark Side Baby
bro vader would stay in the bacta until his suit was ready
i think it was said some where that Palpatine told Vader if he tried messing with or upgrading the suit he put a fail safe in place in the Suit
Some of the suit pictures in this are amazing.
Maybe Vader did get an upgrade, by the time return of then Jedi came around Vader just couldn't take it anymore! So that way we see Vader pick up the Empire with one handed and body throw him over the age, into the abyas! Doing so the light side of the force chased away the darkness. Leaving Vader extremely weak that's why in the hanger bay we see Luke carrying Vader to the craft.
Why did the force lightening kill Vader and not really affect Luke? Luke got the worse of the force lightning also.
Vader's suit was vulnerable to the Lightning. This vulnerability wouldn't normally kill him that fast, as the Dark Side kept him alive through sheer pain and rage... But he had cast aside both to save his child. Losing the suit's life support and his Dark Side durability ended his life.
Doesn't he remove the suit when he goes in the bacta tank, which we've seen many times? Seems like when he gets out of the tank would be the time to switch suits without posing any danger to him - or does that make too much sense?
To a certain degree...even in the bacta tank he still has a lot of lung and other cybernetics to deal with.
It seems that while maybe not all of it would be replaced at once, but still replacing major components & sections while using the tank would make se...
Yup. That does make too much sense.
You've stumbled on to something sir!
I always assumed Anakin was tinkering and trying to upgrade bits here and there as they wore out?
I think he also needs a new pair of tactical boots to match the new suit as well. Perhaps a nice futuristic lid too.
🎵"Nothing suits me like a suit."🎵😁
hearing his clopping footsteps no you heard the breathing before the step js every scene with vader before the sound of his boot you hear his ragged breathing apparatus
Make a cloned body and put himself in a new suit, surprise Palpatine, my turn at being emperor..
that 1 darth vader just wearing a bin bag lol 5.17
Challenging and tasking how discipline he was
This concept has been covered over and over again and the ultimate answer is that in order for Vader to obtain a new suit he would have had to be removed from his current suit completely for an extended period of time and the odds were very high that would have killed him because he wouldn't have had all of the life support from the suit which had essentially become his nervous system and it also controlled his breathing
Omg this is just him yapping like craxy
pretty sure palps would notice the new suit, and put in an electric weakness as a fail safe to attack vader with
A few days ago I wrote a mini comic That had ahsoka Talking to vader In his cell After the forced unleashed two
They took his suit off him And they left him sedated
( What's funny is Vader is completely aware what's going on around him And he hears them But he's letting his body sleep Ain't actually getting the best Sleep he's had in years)
The comic was interesting , especially too since star wars rebels didn't happen that universe so There was no final battle between ahsoka and vader
Interesting, I just saw a comment recently from someone else saying they read it.
What's the comic called?
Vader should have contacted the cloners and had them clone his own arms, legs etc to replace the damaged parts of his body.
Abused by the Jedi and the Sith
Became more mashine than human.
The funniest tale ever
Imagine Vader with an Ironman suit...
Rogue One seems to have made people accept the idea he can survive in a limited way outside the suit.
To be fair, in the original trilogy we see him in his meditation pod without his helmet on briefly.
i imagine that moving vader to another suit would be like working on an old car thats been owned by 5 different people over 50 years. its kinda just a rats nest of wires and parts now and kinda just working on hope and duct tape.
Though no longer cannon, in the comics Dearth was able to survive for most of a day and travel, with his suit damaged and non functional purely on his powers of the Force. I believe he could have , if not easily, survived the surgery needed for a better suit. I agree that it was an intentional choice on his part, partially as self punishment, partially as a path to greater power. It made him the monster he saw himself as, both inside and out, and visibly displayed to all that saw him."Fear me, because if I am willing to do this to myself, tremble at what I am willing to do to you. "
I agree the suit held back is ability to move faster … depending on the nerve damage from being burned .. however upgrading that suit would be definitely a threat to the emperor.. remember he wanted Luke to rule with him.. Vader had ambitions… He would virtually be a menace and almost unstoppable…. More faster and maneuverable Darth Vader.. the fear … Strong with the Dark Side he would be
3 minutes ago is preposterous
here's a thought, for all we know Anakin/Vader could have secretly had a clone or clones of himself made where he could incorporate his new suit so he could be the most powerful user of the force both light and dark. since it was being done in secret away from Palpatine/Sidious it would have been a slow process and taken years to complete.
I never understood why the emperor never cloned Vader
Most of the clones that were force sensitive went insane.
Star killer and star killer/ Hybrid Darth mall are perfect examples.
Only the original star killer gailing Merrick was sane and good eventually.
I already know that and that has nothing to do with Darth Vader
@@peterhauk1914 unless they bring anakin back sorta like like they did Palpatine
It's probably due to the fact that, if you clone someone with force abilities, the clone would have had a low midiclorian count, like Rey's father, he wasn't a force sensitive and he was a clone of palpy
That AI photo looks like the Cylons, from the original Battlestar Galactica.
Even if Vader improved his suit h would never beat Sidious but he would be indeed a greater juggernaut to deal with. What if it the suit was made out of beskar armor
It wasn't the suit that stopped him from beating Papatine at any point it was his constant battle between the light and dark side of the force he never fully committed to being the one to wiled and control them both, that with his unwillingness to forgive himself kepted him from reaching his full strength. Which we later saw him use a bit of as, a force ghost in the Ahsoka series if he had done that when he was alive Palpatine wouldn't have stood a chance against him and without something buffing his power like he liked to use he still would have lost if Vader had fully committed to killing him in his weakened state even with the suit he had and survived.
P.s. It doesn't matter if the suit was insulated or not. It is force lightning and does not conduct like electricity it flows through everything, just like the force. It just looks like electricity because it is so focused. It doesn't just shock you it burns away your essence and life force.
I think taking him out the suit wouldnt have been a problem since he has his chamber and a bacta tank that he normally goes in to either semi or completely remove his armor.
1:54 since when is vader, iron man😂😂
Iron Vader
That's actually from another youtuber who did "What if Tony Stark made Darth Vader a new suit?" Badass video
It wasn't upgraded because GL didn't think about it lol
Vader constantly being in pain and suffering gave him power from the dark side. It fueled him. Made him focus. Made him stronger.
While vader could have force essenced to another body, his pain and suffering would be gone. Therefore so too would his power.
Disney should shoehorn in a story of Darth Vader building the most powerful suit he could muster, one that even Palpatine was afraid of, and somehow ends up back in the old one.
There is a different storyline that takes place, one in which vader survived the death stars destruction, and joined his children in tye rebellion. This version seems to be much the case for the ideas behind the updated suit. Though, i dont know what material changes were made. I assume it uses the same Durasteel limbs, actuators, and a less painful neuralink. It's certainly a topic worthy of discussion.
To be fair there’s nothing to show he didn’t upgrade it. The suit from the movie limited the actors mobility and we just ran with it and made it cannon, but we only really hear how the suit works in comics closer to when he gets it. Nothings there to say he never upgraded the mobility over the years other than how he moves in episode 6, but he could just be old and dying due to being half a human in a can for like 20 years
Star Wars has probably the slowest advancement of technology of any fictional universe, how much more could his suit have been advanced in like 15 years? Though he looked older, he wasn't even like 50 years old. He also seemed pretty calm and calculating in the movies for being so supposedly raging and in agony. I thought too that Vader, in the movies, believed in the force instead of "technological terrors". If he didn't need it to breathe and walk, then he'd probably just wear a dark robe all the time anyway.
He could have upgraded it relatively easily. We see him in a bacta tank in Rogue One so he's out of the suit. All he needed was to slowly build a new one and when he finished with it, the next time he came out of the bacta tank, get put in the new one.
malgus would be disappointed
One factor i don't hear people take into account; if Anakin were to switch suits, he might not survive. In order to switch suit they'd have to temporarily shut down or remove his support systems.
7:50
He couldn't save his mother, his wife, or his baby. He thought the baby died with Padme died. He only learns otherwise when Luke is revealed in a New Hope blowing up the DeathStar. A young rebel named Skywalker.
It’s simple the suit is too iconic
The suit only completed anakins body, it was palpatine using the dark side that kept anakin alive, the whole subplot of ep3. Vader took the suit off for bacta tanks healing and never died but never really healed from it either. It was palpatine that kept him alive, when palpatine died so did vader. Palpatine liked having power and control over vader who was much less powerful in his interrupted / stalled state of dying. Vader wouldnt have survived after the death of palpatine anyways, even if he was on a different planet when the emperor died.
I know I missed the point but I still think it's important to note the suit was completing his body and not healing him
We see Vader completely out of his suit in Rogue One. So the idea that he couldn't be removed doesn't appear to hold up.
We also see him almost entirely resist an EMP grenade, and tank normal electricity in the comics, pretty reasonable installs given that literally anyone trying to take him down would try to disable his cybernetics. Plus the clips shown in the video is from when he literally rebuilds his suit.
Its either he's already about as good as the Empire is able to provide, given the extent of his injuries, and/or he refuses to let basically anyone else touch the suit as we already see. Any upgrades come from him, not the Empire, to prevent any malware essentially.
Where did you find that pic of Darth Vader in an Iron Man type suit!!???
