Lincoln Riley might have called some bad plays, but no where near the amount of terrible plays our defense had. Offense had us hangin in there like every other game this season, but they weren't perfect so we lost. We shouldn't have to have the greatest offense in college football history to cover up the egregious mistakes of our defense.
We knew the defense was suspect going into the game. So coach Riley blew it with that conservative play calling in the 2nd half. Georgia couldn't stop our Offense...especially when we ran hurry-up. Yet the game was slowed down to Georgia liking.
Devon Fails exactly. Scoop & score, subsequent forced punt, & holding them to a FG in OT all win the game any other time. They literally ate up 11+ minutes at the end of a game, but refused to try & chew up 5 in the most important game yet.
Granted, I've only been watching the Sooners since about 1992, but these three years with Mayfield have been far and away THE most fun and entertaining I've seen!!! He will be missed.

His passion for the game, his will to compete and win and his ability to "make a play" when all looked lost.....were off the f'ing charts. Going to miss his swagger, his excitement, his leadership and his raw emotion on the field. Baker is a legend, period.
I loved Baker’s attitude some people thought he needed to calm down but that’s what I loved. The crotch grab is still my favorite because he was saying what the rest of us were thinking.
Baker is everything Kaepernick isn't and wishes he could have been. The Browns have a wonderful future with Baker as their starting QB. I enjoyed watching him play for OU.

Mayfield was a fine ballplayer, no question. But the best Sooner quarterback of all time was Steve Davis. Led the Sooners to two straight national titles and only lost two games in his career, I believe.
From Bud Wilkinson's record breaking championship teams(whose winning streak is still unmatched)thru Barry Switzer's champions who displayed their dominance on both offense & defense, thru Stoops teams, many of whom were offensive juggernauts but completely lacking on defense... none of them..... and I mean NONE of them had a quarterback the equal of Baker Mayfield!! He is the GOAT.... while it appears that Spencer has the capability to match him & may deliver OU's 2nd National Championship in over 35 years(this appalling, embarrassing & dismal fact falls squarely on Bob Stoops shoulders for allowing nepotism) at this point it remains an appearance only.... one that may yet become reality. However Spencer MAY never gain the loving admiration that Baker Mayfield earned because of Baker's personal defiance of defeat throughout his college career.(We did get to witness what may have been the birth of a repeat of that defiance in the OU-Texas 2020 shootout.)
Baker Mayfield is not homely in fact cleaned up he is downright handsome! The girls loved him.! The only mistake the Browns made was not getting Mark Andrews too and they better get Rodney Anderson too next year!
