Like the young Israeli conductor here, I have enjoyed listening to Bernard Haitink's numerous recordings for so long. I also like the way the Dutch master (I want to use this word instead of the usual "maestro" for the obvious allusion to the painters of the Golden Age) teaches young people here, with his warm, sincere, friendly and at times strict approach. The world will miss him indeed.
