I remember as a kid when I bought my third model car and it was a pt cruiser. I was always fascinated by the hot rod design so it was unique to collect a modern hot rod van design. It's cool to know that there were still manufacturers building modern day hot rods in the 00s
This lore friendly design looks like it’s made Playmobil. I like all the builds, they just suit the nature of the car but the third was my fave, purely because I haven’t seen a PT like that.
I would almost describe it as a tuner look. almost reminded me of a Mazdaspeed 3 especially with the shape of the front brake vents. Either way, I completely agree with the comment above.
I love these retro-modernized cars, made to look like a classic car but with modern styling and gadgets and stuff to give it a little more flair. Take the Ford GT for example, it looks exactly like the original Le Mans racer but spiced up and made even better in every way!
Same here, I haven't owned PT Cruiser but I spoke with the owner a couple of times (he came from another city from company's headquaters as we were building shop), and he was very happy with his car. Obviously he said there were a few things to fix here and there, but he really liked it. Retro-modernized cars are completely in my type, because they are not looking artificial like many new cars (new BMWs look like AI did some messed up picture for example). That's why I love Porsche 911 or G-Wagon - I love the evolution of the design, rather than revolution. Yes, there were some revolutions in the past, that turnt out well in my opinion (Ford Focus, even BMWs from Chris Bangle, that now have some kind of a vibe to them), but nowadays it is just putting a bunch of shapes out of place, led stripe across the back and front, enormous grille, "Hybrid" logo, SUV like shape with ugly black plastic fenders, empty interior with a big screen, and calling it a "new, modern design". I call it bullshit. Prefer PT Cruiser.
I actually like the PT Cruiser. People hate it but I really don't mind it. If I had money I would buy one and tastefully modify it just to bother people at car meets
It’s mods like this that inspire people to buy a computer so they can buy the game themselves. Yeah this is a PT cruiser, but it’s a PT cruiser in GTA where you can basically Weaponize any vehicle, simply by throwing a sticky bomb on it. Makes it very exciting. Please keep doing what you do.
The PT Cruiser is one of the first cars I ever considered my favorite. I was 2, maybe 3, and they hadn’t been out that long when I saw a fully customized one at a car show. I still remember it although vaguely, but I might be able to pick it out still in a line of other PTs. Hopefully I can fill my garage up with them for shits and giggles

Back in the day when the PT Cruiser is new, i kinda liked it and still does for its charm, this, the Prowler, Chevy SSR and HHR as well as the '05 Ford Thunderbird as well as whatever else was made back then that had a marmite opinions of such of the early 00's retro cars, i love to see them all the game as well as the Pontiac Aztek, they all suits the game, they ain't perfect but you can definitely see them in the game driving around by NPC's and such, so yeah
The Hotrod Van one is my favorite. Also the PT Cruiser when it was launched was pushed for it's customization. I remember getting a disk from a Chysler Dealer my parents were visiting that had basically a build and spec you can find on any car dealer website these days. But back then it was really something special. Wasn't much you could do cause it was all factory options. But that did mean you could look at it with a "Woodie" visual package. Or you could get ghost flames on it, which was the hot rod style of the time, but as a factory option. That dumb little program probably lost forever endeared me to the PT Cruiser a lot more then it maybe should have.
My Grandparents at first were excited for the PT Cruiser when it first came out, eventually my grandpa went and checked one out sitting in a Ford Dealerships Used Parking lot back in 2006 and he ended up coming home with a 2005 Mustang GT instead.
The idea of the PT Cruiser was awesome, being a 40s style car in the modern day. The finished product however, failed horribly However i can't help but like it anyways because of my love for weird cars

Gods honest truth.............I used to have one, a rather problematic one. That being said, i have always liked the styling, but im a lover of the most quirky and sometimes ugly cars. I like to be different from everybodys tastes, and i give cars that most wouldn't give the time a day to. Mainly because i don't like following crowds as thats boring. The car itself was great to drive if you wanted a barge like car but it was good felt weighty but had so many problems. I think it was just that i had ended up buying a jalopy But when it started to spontaneously combust whilst i had my disabled mother inlaw and my 3 year old daughter in car whilst in the middle of nowhere i got worried and i scrapped it was a mistake buying it but it was a comfy barge and i liked the hot rod styling. Needless to say i dont think ill own another unless it was a minter

The creators of this car could of named it something similar to how Chrysler called it the PT Cruiser. Maybe call it Schyster BD-Rider (as a way to make use of one of R*'s methods of naming cars, using hidden dirty innuendos to name many cars)

I used to have a pt cruiser for about a year and tho people say Chrysler is unreliable , it worked fine for me , it had it's problems at times yes , but costs weren't all that high tho 👌, my sisters 99' bmw 3 series had waaaay more problems then my Chrysler 😂 (It's ugly as hell but hey , i bought it because i lived a few houses from a car dealer and it was the cheapest of the lot )

The biggest issue with the pt cruiser is they all have issues out the ass. The wiring and computers are shoddy and the engines pretty much conk out around 150k miles
I agree. I believe it was the issue of them being lemons. I have an 08 pt and it had a lot of small annoyances as well as it dropped the trans at 160k miles. They also didn't pass emission inspections so they were listed as trucks to pass emissions

When the PT cruiser came out tho it was crowned as one of, if not the, best looking car of that year and now it's classed as one of the ugliest. Funny to think that the Lamborghini Veneno was classed as the ugliest car of the year it released in and is now one of the best looking cars ever made lmao

In Colorado there’s an entire club dedicated to PT Cruiser’s, it’s what I grew up around and how I came to love them myself. Glad you looked at the mod I suggested, I saw a friend post it and, if I had a PC in the first place, I’d be making builds of it so much.
