I really really love the look of this deck and the color tones. Very beautiful. Definitely at the top of my wanted list right now. Loved this informative and personal walk through of the deck. Thank you!!!
You were right, it’s fantastic. I’ll be adding this to my collection soon. The pairings were brilliant too. I think I need the Rackham oracle too, the murkiness drew me in 👀🫶🏻
I have also a more recent video on forest-based Llewellyn decks... Hidden Realm is in there, so is the Forest of Enchantment which includes pixies. Thank you for watching 🦋
The artist, Julia Jeffreys, has just finished the artwork for a new deck: Witch sister tarot. She has a Facebook page for it and I’ve been fan-girling all over it. She is Scottish, I think, and the witch sister has lots of references to Scotland and Wales. I was not sure whether I should buy The Hidden Realm in the meantime, or wait for Witch Sister to come out. I’m not that much into Fae. However, the people in this deck and the landscapes and emotions feel very real and very much like home to me (I lived in the UK for almost 18 years). This is the second time in the space of one week that you have pushed my ‘buy button’ for one of the decks on my wish list. I’m thinking this may even work with the lantern oracle. And you’ve just landed the trees oracle on my wish list. I think I may need to stop watching your channel 😂
@@juliambada Aha! I am so glad you enjoyed the review! She has a new deck coming? Oh I am so for it! I love her artwork. I think Llewellyn knocked it out of the ballpark with this one... and a few others I love. Indeed, it has very English vibes but it also reminds me of New Hampshire in the US and parts of New York state as well as NJ.... I love the autumnal colours of the trees in the US, magnificent. Thank you for watching. Let me know how you get on with it! 🌷
I have been looking at this deck fo a while but wasn't sure due to the focus on faces. I never saw this many cards from the deck. I love your perspective on how to use it. I'm sold! Definitely adding this to my collection. (BTW, I watched your review on the Enchanted Forest tarot and bought it - I'm in love with it!) Thank you!!!
This video made me so happy! The Hidden Realm is one of my favorites as you know (not only because of the lovers card hahaha!). It is indeed a brilliant deck, it blows me away how they can convey the meaning of the cards just with body posture and facial expressions alone! Incredible art work! Great idea pairing it with the Rackham Fairy Oracle, I hadn’t thought about it! The Rackham Fairy Oracle is also one of my favorite oracles, I’ve been enjoying using it lately! I pair it with my John Bauer Tarot and Into the Lonely Woods Oracle. Such powerful readings. (More cards from the Hidden Realm will of course be featured in the next installments of my #22faves video! 😝)
Thanks for watching Mariana and your thoughts on the deck! I hadn't thought of pairing it with the Lonely Woods Oracle or the John Bauer deck! Both are on my wish list. I look forward to your next installment 🌷
Hi, so I literally JUST commented on your comment in another video agreeing with you about the lack of representation in this deck. So I can see you did get it in the end and I am listening to your thoughts on it now.😊
I love this deck, definitely a go-to for me. I use it with the Seed & Sickle Oracle if I'm going to combine it with something and they pair incredibly.
I was thinking of getting the Seed & Sickle as I think it will go with a lot of decks! Thanks for the tip, I will certainly try it. .. and thank you for watching 🌷
Thanks for sharing. The artwork is beautiful. This is one of the earliest decks I bought. But I gave it away because, as you point out, all of the faces just didn't help me learn the meanings of the cards. I just found I had to really work to connect to tarot symobology, etc.--you obviously have a talent for drawing a lot of meaning from them! It's nice to revisit the beautiful art, though, so thank you for your interpretations! (The Two of Swords says to me, "You'd better watch what you choose to say to this girl next or you could die!")💟
Indeed! Thanks for watching Nancy. I appreciate your thoughts as always :). I hope you are well. The deck I think is tricky on many levels and I think it is one that I liked learning and interacting with. My foundations of the RWS and the Golden Dawn system sitting underneath it is I think very helpful, I also started studying the symbology of the Marseilles last year but have still more to go... But that then helps me bond with variants and the connections to monotheistic vs pagan themes. Perhaps I should do a video on it? Lovely to hear from you. I still need to get that deck with the orange bird on it? Can't recall the name... 🌸
@@darkfaetarot Your study of the Golden Dawn inspires me to delve deeper. As I don't believe in any deity, whether one or many, I'm not versed in comparing the two, but everything you do is interesting, so why not compare monothestic vs.pagan representations in decks? I'm getting to the point where it doesn't matter as much the image or symbolism on the card as an understanding of numerology and elements and archetypes. But it's a never ending course of study, right? Which is one reason I enjoy tarot so much!
@@papermoontarot4219 Indeed. I might do so for fun! I am a historian at heart so hence my ferocious appetite but I firmly believe we need to have fun too!
Wonderful Marlene, I love writing so I have so much fun with decks like these. I would love to hear your poetry. I'll hop on over! Thank you for watching 🌸
This is one of my most treasured decks. It took me to a whole other level in the way I deep dive study, journal with, and interpret cards. Named so appropriately - a guided journey through an isolated wonderful tribe. Funny part is, I worked with this deck for a long time before realizing it was "Fae/fairy deck" labeled. Say Da! - you think the ears & tree branches in their heads would have clued me in but -NO - I was mesmerized by the emotions & facial energy. I just saw individuals and their stories. Now - all I need to see is "by Barbara Moore" - and I buy it. SO worth experiencing the guidebook - it's literary style is so unique. 💛💚💙💜
Oh I am so glad you have loved working with this deck! Wow, sounds like you have done some very deep work with the deck. It is so human, I forget too, but I think that is part of the charm, it wants me to feel comfortable and that I belong. I think this is my first Barbara Moore deck, but not my last! Thank you for watching 🌸
Hey there, I have recently subscribed to your channel because I love how in depth you talk about the decks that you have. I noticed that you have so many of the decks I am interested in getting. If you have time would you be able tk tell me what the difference is between this deck, the forest of enchantment and the green witch tarot? Which one do you recommend out of the 3 and which one has the best guidebook? Especially for a beginner?
that's a great question. Thank you for watching, subbing and asking! Happy to do so... I also have the Dark Wood, Everyday Witch, and a few other Llewellyn decks, would also be of interest?
@@darkfaetarot Goodmorning and thank you so much for answering. I have noticed that I mainly fall in love with Llewelyn decks. I already have the darkwood tarot, which is the deck that I have been working with to learn tarot. I did start out with the rider waite but I really dislike the images and I was not able to learn with that deck. However I do use the book the ultimate guide to the rider waite tarot from Johannes Fiebig because it has the images inside them. So I use the guidebook of darkwood tarot next to this one so I still can learn the symbols and overal meaning. I also bought the everyday witch tarot deck and I got it on monday. I am in love with the images of that one especially because it has cats in it and I LOVE cats. I love witchy themed decks in general I noticed. I am fairly new to tarot. I have only been doing tarot for around 1,5 months however I know a lot about astrology and numerology which I did not know at all that was a part of tarot. I have binge watched so much of your content and I cannot believe how similar our taste is. So yes if you have any suggestions on decks from Llewelyn or decks in general that have good guidebooks, especially guidebooks that can be used with other decks as well please do so. I want to buy the tarot of vampyres just because of the guidebook. Thank you so much for your time. I highly appreciate it.
