Setting a timeline is definitely an important part of bulking and cutting otherwise you start spinning your wheels. Especially when you're deep into your cut, having that deadline is a huge motivator.

Stupid question. But if you were to lift heavy while eating without a surplus (aka eat only what you spend), will you still become lean? Or do you HAVE to first put on fat weight before cutting and becoming lean.

I'm 16 and have extreme problems with my "heavier" body type and im just super unhappy with my physique. But going to school also limits what I can do eith my diet. If anybody has any tips on how I can set up a healthy but more minimalost way of bulk/cutting I would appreciate it. At least until I can get out of highschool and really control my diet

So I have no idea what the hell to do, I am a skinny fat person and you can’t see any of my muscles, I really want to burn fat and for that I need to start cutting, but the problem is that I don’t want to lose muscle mass and strength while I am doing that

Some guys are too skinny or hard gainers as some people say so they bulk but then cut to their desired body size

Charles Lee Ray so that’s the point of cutting is to take out the fat this time u are going on a calories deficit and if you think u like u current bulk body and want to maintain it then you have to continue eating the way you are eating instead of increasing calories to get more bulky.... u bulk you get your desired result keep eating like that don’t increase it then I guess u will maintain that level
That’s why it’s a myth. The time u take to bulk and cut to a specific size and time u take to increase muscle mass without bulking is the same. Cons to bulking is so much more mainly eating disorder. But bodybuilders do it because they use steroids, able to lose fats much faster while maintaining the strength they’ve gained from bulking. Only pros for bulking is gaining strength. Nothing more nothing less. You’ll look bigger than lean bulk but only due to fat. Only protein builds protein. Basic science.
If u want to to maintain ur muscle while on a cut u gotta eat low calories and high protein

Probably not much cardio but you can do abs to build more muscle

Why bulk and cut? Why not just eat for a certain weight goal and lift a lot?
For bodybuilding, The point of bulking is to get bigger and the point of cutting is to reveal some of that muscle you built during the bulk, as he said in the video. However, you can maingain but it’s only a matter of time until you have to choose between bulking or cutting. This cycle can continue until one’s satisfied w their physique and muscle mass.
Yup which is what I'm doing, just eat at maintenance and train to stay strong and lean. Just when I gained a few kgs I cut back a bit and vise versa 😎

Not hating. Fat and muscles are made up of different stuff. One is glycerol and fatty acid, the other is amino acid. You can’t convert fat to muscles. Common myth is bulking to build muscle which is wrong. Only pros for bulking is gain in strength and nothing else. You can gain muscle while cutting, again losing fatty acid and gaining amino acid. Different thing. Just imagine an overweight person saying he wana have an ideal body.
Regarding losing muscle mass from too much cardio, you won’t. Unless 1. You going through starvation to the point where your body has no more fats. 2, you stop training as hard, basic cause and effect theory. 3. Insufficient protein intake. 4. Not enough recovery, muscle broken down but not recovered post workout. There is NO evidence in losing muscle from too much cardio in a normal situation. Unless you’re running a marathon or sorts

Wrong he never said that you convert fat into muscle, the extra food and protein you eat on a bulk feeds the muscles and you also gain extra fat at the same time, bulking is the fastest way to gain muscle.
@@goated0317 all you need to do is join a gym get good at some basic compound lifts and stay consistent, and start a bulking diet, MyFitnessPal is a really good app for counting calories each day, I use the free version
