Sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa are the musical vowels. Traditional classical Indian music starts with these notes and then goes on with the song. Sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa - thse seven musical wowels are sang in different notes low, middle and high. In low, middle and high also there are 10K different variations, which the western music do not have. Western music has only basic musical wowels and most of the music and songs are centered around the basic vowels. After the vowels, the song is in Hindi and Urdu mix language and has a very rich and deep lyrics and that is what makes the music and song very fined tuned.

Mind you that Qawali is always performed live and Rahat was trained to perform live for hours with his uncle Nusrat and his band, where they all sang in unison like this performance, but the band was much more versatile and Nusrat was even a level above Rahat when it comes to Qawali. 90% of famous Qawalis are composed by Nusrat.
