Not really with the mom, moreso undermining the way she tried to raise her. It’s interesting cuz clearly he wasn’t super relevant in raising her. And he never really tried to get in the way of it either. It highlights where he sorta messed up, but also that he could be the one to really advocate for her now.
A big part of Mafumom's way of raising Mafuyu is that she actively highlights the importance of being a "good girl", a "good girl" is a daughter that will listen to whatever her parents say, a "good girl" won't make her parents sad, a "good girl" won't make her parents worry. This kind of mindset is embedded in Mafuyu's mind even when she was little, hence why her first instinct when her dad walks in is to say "sorry" because she isn't asleep yet, she "made her parents worry" this way. Even when it isn't her fault, that a child like her would be scared by thunder and be unable to sleep because of that.
I think the issue is that both parents “betrayed” her in a way. In the previous version of this event with Mafumom, she took care of her in the past but didn’t take care of her properly later on. Here Mafudad promises to protect her, but didn’t really do it going forward. Now we see the dad trying to make good on that promise, but Mafuyu is learning that she can trust him after that betrayal. Even tho she has less memories of him, the biggest memory is undermining the mother’s child raising for the sake of Mafuyu. It says a lot about his lack of involvement, and also says he’s capable of doing something now despite not doing it earlier.
I theorised that maybe Mafudad was on the receiving end too and even submitted to her as well and it’s shown in his absence when Maruyama needed him most

I don't like villainising Mafuyu's mom because it's pretty clear she's been through generational trauma as well, but UGH I hate how she's always been trying to make Mafuyu the "perfect" child. Lady, please, your daughter is not a robot or a puppet, please let her live her own life, please give her the freedom she needs :( and I know Mafuyu's dad's current actions don't excuse his absent behaviour all these years, but I really feel like he sees how much she is suffering, and is genuinely trying to make up for his mistake. I love how slowly they're going with the current 25ji arc, it's never easy dealing with your trauma and healing yourself from within. I just want to hug Mafuyu
