Diamond is hard but not very ductile, Tungsten Carbide is cemented with cobalt or nickel to give it more or less ductility, Moissanite is Silicon Carbide which is similar in properties to Boron carbide, again very brittle but hard enough to shatter armor piercing bullets when used in level 4 vests :-)) Aluminium Oxide is cheaper and also used in vests, also Sapphire, ruby, garnet are all Aluminium Oxide, its the conditions and inclusions of other elements that actually give the colour but technically are the same material as a grinding stone, The difference is gemstones are grown into one crystal, Also Look up Ruby Bouls, Flame grown for industry :-))
The GIA certificate state the diamond shape is "marquise cut". In the video, the diamond shape is Round cut. The stone which use in this video is not the true GIA certified diamond. So, how do we know if it is true (natural) diamond?

@@1nf1n-x45 incredibly incorrect. Diamonds are used for far more things than jewelry. One of the hardest materials used in cutting , for its hardness, and it not being an abundant substance makes it more valuable. Supply vs demand.

And secondly imagine working on a glass factory as a manual worker in 2022... Welcome to the present diamonds are only used for jewellery atleast for now. Laser cutting techniques exists as well sure it needs lots of energy but it's better than finding diamonds purifying it and then using it.
And as we saw it isn't great against pressure it carbon losses its structural integrity when pressure is acted on it. And wasting diamonds? Huh? Do you even close taps when you see water getting wasted? or help in improving the air quality these substances are cheap but they are way more valuable than something which has a little more refractive index than glass which makes it stand out... Turn the lights out get a glass and a diamond of the same shape and size good luck differentiating them all by yourself. Yeah, there is a reason tungsten is used in the export models of the Abrams tank. Almost as good, but not giving away secrets of the armor used in the US domestic versions. I think Ukraine is actually the first nation that is going to get actual domestic versions with the composite armor rather than the tungsten armor like the other allied customers. The US really wants to bend Russia over. lol

Diamond are high in hardness, not toughness. Try jade stone and see the different.
