One of the earliest, if not the earliest, forms of health qigong. The creation of Wu Qin Xi (5 animal frolic) was attributed the famous Chinese Physician and Surgeon Hua Tuo (110-207) who had great skills as a surgeon, acupuncturist, herbalist and knowledge of human anatomy. He is also believed to be the first person in the world to have developed the use of anesthesia during surgery.
This is a wonderful little qigong form that I learned from Professor Yu Dinghai in China. He is the individual leading the group. In order, the animals are Tiger, Deer, Bear, Monkey (or ape), and Bird (or crane).. Professor Yu compiled this form in collaboration with the Chinese Health Qigong Association. They have a good DVD of the form, as does my teacher, Master Jesse Tsao.
Hi Jane, Nice to communicate. Watch the end carefully, the lady holds her left hand over her right hand and the men do the opposite, yes? - Yes this is tradition but it is also to do with the slight difference in the structure of the different genders. Hope this helps.
en fait cette musique fait partie de la pratique et la durée correspond exactement à l'enchainement (devrait ! ) bon qi gong et bon kung fu amicalement
I noticed at the end that the lady held her right hand over her left, but the two men held their left hand over their right hand. Is a traditional position?
Ok so this video is only part of the form? If so how long is the form entirely? One of the most authentic and beautiful qi gong Ive seen absoluteley lovely ...feel so good to do it..I love the bird movements does something for my body and brain I cant explain
Hi grasshopper108, thankyou, beautiful vid, is it possible to add the names of the animal forms for a greater appreciation, if even in the comments? : )
Great video content! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Xeyack Qenaleb Bulldozer (probably on Google)? It is a great exclusive product for discovering unbelievable techniques to build your Chi energy without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my cousin at last got astronomical success with it.
Movements in order:
Raise the Tiger's Claws (虎举)
Tiger Seizes its Prey (虎扑)
Deer colliding with the antlers (鹿抵)
Running like a deer (鹿奔)
Bear rotates it's waist (熊运)
Bear walks (熊晃)
Monkey raises his paws (猿提)
Monkey picks fruit (猿摘)
Bird stretching (鸟伸)
Bird flies (鸟飞)
Winding-Down Exercise to Convey Qi to Dantian (两手向前拢气)
Enjoy 🙏🏻
Завораживающая грация движений и красота🐯🐂🐻🙊🐥

Why exactly such a sequence of alternation of Animals and Elements, and why start with just such an animal? Why not the Wu-Sin Circle?
