You can buy the Zwift Ride Frame here: zwiftinc.sjv.io/6eq7oQ
Great update, thanks. The Zwift frame as a stand alone option is potentially interesting, however, I believe that it is a total miss on the part of Zwift to not have included an adjustable crank length option. That fact alone would absolutely prevent me from looking into it further.
100% very big miss to not have adjustable crank length. that along with the belt drive I'm looking into the Elite Square
Virtual shifting with the Zwift Cog would be nice, but definitely not worth buying a new trainer for AND doesn't work with any other cycling apps.
I'd stay far away from Zwift Ride until they (or someone else) makes it works with other apps. It's the same reason why buying a Peloton is a bad idea. Could turn into a expensive paperweight overnight.
Support for other apps is not going to happen. The wireless controllers talk only to the Zwift app. No Zwift app = no shifting. Zwift has made it clear: The Zwift app will always be required. Hacking the controllers is easy because they use standard Bluetooth protocols. Anyone doing so, will get sued by Zwift - so no joy.
The "QZ fitness app" makes it work with other apps.
Cool Video, Thank You.. i want the frame but im going to wait until my Jetblack Victory ships.. I'm a kickr V5 owner so Wahoo basically put an end to me using kickrs when they decided to not upgrade the V4 & V5 to virtual shifting.. I've already ordered the Victory trainer.
Maybe I will get one as soon as they support Kickr V5.
Wahoo said they won't update the v5 to support Zwift virtual shifting
@@benjaminmckee752 Yep, but I am not the only one complaining about that decision. We will see. Me, among many others, will not get rid of the V5 just because of this.
The fact the only running update is coming out because of a $5k+ treadmill really pisses me off.
Wish I could change the bikes order where they show up in the garage as I only ride 5 of my 30 bikes
I agree. It would also be nice to have the ability to select a default bike to use when switching to group rides, racing, workout, etc.
@@SmartBikeTrainersI agree to both. I have a Garage full of kit I wore once or never wore. Same with Frames and Wheels I bought that I'll never use again.
Laps is also a problem with rouvy.. would be nice to have the functions that RGT used to have. That app was brilliant, but what's good has to end..
Hope that I in the future can use the Zwift ride frame with my Elite Direto XR
Zwift needs to make controls for mountainbike handlebars, would be nice
Let's be clear: this bike and every trainer converted to virtual shifting is locked to Zwift. Period. The wireless shifters require the Zwift app. No Zwift app = no shifting. Zwift has made it clear: Only the Zwift app will be supported. Think about this before getting too excited everyone.
Only negative for me is the fixed crank length of 170.
I know that’s one of the drawbacks. I personally ride a 172.5 and honestly I don’t think I notice a difference going to 170. But I understand the need to make it adjustable so riders can use whatever they prefer.
@@SmartBikeTrainers - Maybe I'm quirky but I can feel the difference....
Screw us Tacx Neo 2T owners
Heck Garmin has put the nail in the coffin on the Tacx app. And you are asking much for competitors to support each other's hardware. Heck I can't send Wahoo events to Garmin Connect.
Intresting information. I got the hub update today. But i m not able to spend drops to improve weight or aero on the frame. This will probably be a later update?
What if they changed from chain to belt drive? Even less noise + better lifetime of components...
How does one size frame fit all size riders? Is the Ride frame adjustable?
Yes it is adjustable to fit different riders
Are the crank lengths adjustable? Can I use my Kickr climb with it? Great Vid thanks
Crank lengths aren’t adjustable and it is not compatible with the Kickr climb
Thanks for the video! I have a KICKR Core with a cassette already. Am I wright to think that I can switch the cassette to this new Zwift Cog V2 that will be delivered with the Zwift Smart Frame and have no compatibility issues? Thanks!
Yes, all Kickr Cores should work fine with the Zwift Cog and virtual shifting.
Great video. I think you answered a big burning question. I have a Wahoo KICKR V5. To confirm, will the virtual shifting work with the Frame? Do you need to purchase anything additional?
Kickr V5 is not compatible unfortunately
@@SmartBikeTrainers Thanks for the quick answer! So bizarre!
Will KICKr V5 ever be compatible ??? 😮
I'll stick with my secondary Trek Emonda, don't want to get too gameafied
I have Direto XR. Can i buy the cog v 2 now, and will it work? I don't require the Zwift Ride. Do i need to buy it with a freehub or without one?
Zwift is saying it will be supported later this year. I would wait until it’s officially on the list of supported trainers.
Hi,thanks for the news,i have a elite direto xr,can i buy a zwift cog click and zwift ride frame...Is It works?
I would wait until it is officially supported later this year.
Has anyone tried connecting Zwift Ride to Tacx Flux2?
Instead of colors on the zones wish they had another option like numbers of a graph for us color blind riders.
£750 for the frame is a lot of money for not a lot of tech, if I had a compatible trainer and a spare £500 then I would probably do it but no way at £750. The ride is just a low tech frame and clicks, better off buying a lower end bike.
Without my glasses, the title read 'Zwift Fail 2024' 😅😅😅
You made me take a double look at the title to make sure I got it correctly 😂
Hell yeah just save me 400 bucks. No need of having two trainers.
