Just got into your channel one word GREAT.
I am a bit more than a new be love working with wood always having.
Most of the things I make are out of pallets,
I.e. bird stands garden benches, tables, rabbit runs/hutches and windmills.
Made myself table saw sled with t- track stop block and table top router table.
I only use Makita tools 12 in total drills saws router to many to mention anyway time to watch more of YOU

TSO and Festool track saw system pretty much replaces the table and mitre saw. It can be dissembled and stored in a much smaller place. Combined with a Bora Centipede you can store all this equipment in a broom closet.

I’ve been holed up and on a creatively-challenged rollercoaster ride this pandemic-infested moronic election year here in the USA, specifically I live on the central coast of CA... Got no patience for the general ignorance and epic low in our values and character as human beings, our national behavior and nasty divorce from the truth has provoked a humiliating train wreck of our great republic. An epic disgrace! Other than that, Ive found solace in well produced presentations and critical thinking of lost expertises that interest me. Watching your work has been invigorating and induced some inertia to clean up and fine tune my photographic studio and workshop! I have an mft and it never occurred to me until your demo that I could push the rail bracket aside and use the dogs and another rail to make a cut that was for a piece longer than 600mm - the capacity of normal set up.
Glad to help! Also, if you use a 1400 rail you can move the clamps from the front and back of the MFT-3 and put them on either end.

The MFT-18 may be too large for use on a table saw, but adding 20mm holes to a cross-cut sled could add some useful functionality there too.

Love the Bench and all of its capabilities. Keep the ideas coming. My thoughts on this triangle are that the MFT3 with a protractor attachment is 685 dollars, this angle guide alone is almost 400. Hard to justify.
Thanks for the compliment! One thought that comes to me is that the triangle is not just for use with a MFT-3, it is a very accurate square. You would pay a similar price for a Starrat or Woodpecker of the same size.
The versatility of these MFT format benches really seems to be moving forward quickly. The Parf Guide System, the TSO MTR-18, and the part that mates an Incra LS-32 to the bench are all recent.

A bit of an old video but how would you rate the (unwanted) dust production using either TS 55 or HC 55 with the dust bag? Can you put tape on the side of them successfully to stop it coming out from the side?
It just hit me that you're the one making the stanton table, right? I knew it was a brand but realized the stanton i was thinking of is making DJ equipment .. :) It seems like the Triangle was made for the stanton table ... nothing less but brilliant!
At nearly $400 I sure as heck hope it’s precise down to 0.001”! Cool gadget but I can’t see the utility of this degree of precision-wood is not metal. It shrinks, expands and warps. Still love your bench though!!

TSO should really look at their pricing ..... if they were realistic with it the would sell 10 for every 1 .... for 400 bucks I’d consider adding something to my collection of festool .... most of us are hobbyists not professional .... it’s just too much money for it

The price is realistic. What is not realistic is that people are buying cheap chinese manufactured goods and then expect there to be quality and the moment a manufacturer produces quality people complain about price.
Most squares today are too cheap and guess what not square nevermind an engineered square like that.
So you use a square, double the price of the table. I just looked on their distribution partner in Europe, 500 EUR for the Square (309,-) and the accessories (195,-) needed for the MFT. I love the tso products for being easy and intuitive to use, but their prices are out of scale. Even higher than Festool - and they are expensive.
Totally agree with you. They are taking the p**s! Great quality tool, yes, but NEVER worth that amount of money. Even Incra and Woodpecker aren't charging such silly, eye-watering prices.
The tools you show are great only one problem with the application. It will only work on smaller size sheets and thickness. If I were to buy this limited tools set my wife would sell me. Is there something as nice as what you show but able to cut down 4 x 8 sheets of plywood and other wood thickness? The extra ability to cut items such ar 4 x 4 would be great. Oh and BTW dimensions are in in inches.
Hi Rud dog. The tool will work well with larger sheets, you just need to have a larger panel to support it on. It is a relatively easy thing to do to make an 8 x 4 (sorry, that should be 2438.4 x 1219.2 mm) panel that has 20mm holes drilled in a 96 mm square grid. The thickness is not an issue. You can also use that Triangle on a larger system if you want. I have a set up for smaller cuts and then a separate system for larger cuts with track saws.

My brother-in-law has been trying to talk me into buying an MFT/3, but I think your bench is more my style. Especially after this review. (he ordered a UJK parf guide system this morning)
One question, how would you recommend using a Stanton bench to do thin repeated cuts? For example, cutting 1 inch strips to make a butcher block cutting board. Seems to me I would need to re-measure for each cut, which means the strips may be slightly different which means more cleanup work if i do an end-grain cutting board.
This is easy on a table saw, but i have too many family members with missing fingers and I am just getting started with woodworking :) On an mft i could use dogs to stop the board, and move the mounted track to the correct distance. How can we do this on a Stanton Bench? an extending ruler? some sort of stop block thing mounted from the underside with long parf dogs?

MFT/3 is a powerful tool to use on sites. You can just fold it up and use it. Making your own table with the parf system in your workshop is in my opinion more flexible. I am in the middle of building a mobile system that can folded up and put in the back of a van easily.
Dave, what do you think about installing a run of miter track in your top to the left of the track saw track? You could then use your miter gauge from your table saw to set the angles much like the MTR-18. I happen to already own one of those expensive Incra miter gauges and would like to find further use for it.
That would work but the mitre gauge would need to be placed in the slot from the back of the bench. Good idea!

G'day Dave, Is there any one out there could help, I do enjoy your work! however I do have a question though every time I flatten the end grain cutting board and put back on the bench It whorps back to the side just flattened, I can only use the router to flatten the board this has happened several times now the timber is very dry and end grain so I thought I'd ask the professionals for "HELP" before I quit the project this Is the first attempt to make a cutting board. Can you offer any suggestions? Cheers D
Any timber that has not been sealed in any way will absorb and release moisture. The fibers swell when absorbing and shrink when releasing moisture. This usually happens close to the surface. Try placing the board on an elevated breathing platform such as cooling rack for a cake or even a couple of dowels laid on the bench. to elevate the board so air can circulate around it. When you come to applying a finish to the board, use the same method and coat top, bottom and sides at the same time. I hope this quick answer is of some use.
Dave I have seen you use it a number of times now the attachment to the Festool 800 track and the dogs on the Stanton bench. Have searched for it but can't find them

I’m a newbie, and It is expensive - but this in combination with Parf jig, super dogs - couldn’t it replace the functionality of most mft/3? Maybe money is better spent on these items for me than an mft/3 if I don’t need portability. Would love to hear your thoughts
Yes Tony and the other advantage is you are not restricted to a small work area as you can make your own bench as big as you want it.
Unfortunately, you can't buy these valuable helpers in Germany. It's absolutely sickening!

Yes, it is expensive but it is accurate. For someone who requires that degree of accuracy it is worth it.
A table saw that cut with that level of accuracy and allow for that degree of accuracy will costs thousands.
I have a felder saw and I can tell you the accessories cost more than $400.

nice review, but again no support for the offcut. what about an extension on the right side of your bench so hold the offcut after making the cut. it could be simple two pieces of wood screwed under your bench
I have a second Stanton bench that I use for off cutts support when the off cuts warrant it.
How do I get repeated cuts?
Easy to place a dog through a scrap of ply to the right distance to act as an end stop.

I Have got to stop watching your videos, I am a pensioner(UK) and that Triangle costs £2 short of £400, the whole Festool setup, although ideal for my circumstances is way beyond my means and watching these videos is just giving me tool envy with no prospect of ever relieving it(I cant even sell my body,nobody wants it lol), i.e. I could never afford the Festool system in this lifetime.
