I'm glad he opened up about this topic now. He was loved by his parents and 8 Noona's, they just didn't want him to feel hurt back then. He had good childhood friends that kept his secret. That's why he was so close with the 8th Noona, because they were around the same age, but she was the one watching and protecting him the entire time they were growing up. You can tell that they are close to each other.
Thank you MBC for having Jaejoong on the show and huge appreciation to Jaejoong for sharing his story with all of us, I’m sure it’s not easy. He’s been through so much, he is so strong and has become such an amazing person. I am adopted myself and it’s a really difficult journey of self discovery and healing.
I will say that I am happy to see Jaejoong again on the main television networks in Korea after more than a decade of not being able to do so, it seems to me that this type of banning of artists by large companies should not be legal, yes We talk from a commercial point of view, promoting his career as a soloist must have been very hard without support from the most famous television stations and variety shows in Korea, it is something that should be illegal. I'm happy to see it, I discovered KPOP when I was 12 years old, thanks to TVXQ, their separation absolutely hurt me, but I wished with all my might that the path they chose went well for them, and for Jaejoong to do it alone must have been hard.
I am so glad he was given up to his Kim famiy. If he stayed with his biological mother, he wouldn’t become who is now. I loathe parent who give their child up, then reconnect with the child when they found out he got famous and wealthy. The mother should respect his adoptive parents and not have anything with her child anymore.

Her step sister really sacrificed alot for him. Imagine being that year old child n didnt get to celebrate her birthday for the sake of her brother. I bet shes really a sweet sister
It's heartbreaking that adoption had such a stigma in Korea. Kinda still does... Just think about how many children were shipped overseas and now the population is struggling. Bittersweet. One of those adopted babies is my cousin. I'm glad she's had a happy life abroad with us without shame.

She probably didn't know where he was before that. I checked online, his name and official birth date were changed in the adoption.
