More power to this guy. He is 100 times better than I would be in front of the camera trying to speak Japanese. And he has a sense of humor about it all.
Munenori is a super funny guy with a awesome personality. Yes your correct, his english isn't actually that bad. It's less of trolling and more of him playing a character where he's the butt of the joke.
I don't think he knows english cuz he played for the mariners and the interviews went the same. he's just naturally funny and does funny things on the base paths to throw pitchers off.

To be honest even though I played for my middle school and high school as a pitcher, I absolutely hate watching baseball. I'm guessing watching golf or chess is more entertaining. However my family loves baseball, they always have it on. One day in the next room I heard Munenori being interviewed on the tv when he played for the Seattle Mariners. After that I actually started looking up the MLB schedule and "watching" when his team/s played( Seattle Marines, Toronto Blue Jays or Chicago Cubs). I haven't watched a single game ever since he went back to Japan. Dear Mr. Kawasaki, I hope you're doing well and enjoying your retirement. Stay safe
You guys are in for a big game next week. Penn State lost today and now are desperate to keep only one loss on their record. Very important to win every single game for them now. In today’s game against OSU, Beaver Stadium had 111,030 fans in attendance! Hope you are ready for a big atmosphere!
I'm really hoping Penn State can pull out a tough win vs Ohio State. Not only bc they are my team. Being undefeated will give the game you guys are going to a better atmosphere I'm sure🤞
14:15 y’all could be dead on accurate for all I know, but for what it’s worth, it’s pretty normal when learning a new language for your comprehension to be further along than your ability to form sentences🤷♂️
he plays into it perfectly he has the timing of a seasoned comic

This guy was a fan favourite while he was in Toronto
I think his friends and family in Japan asked him to tone it down
How did I never see any of this? The guy is hilarious!
I give him so much credit. Learning a new language is challenging as an adult. ❤
I’ve heard Kawasaki actually speaks decent english and just trolls for the interviews to be funny lmao
"What time is it?" "Game time!"
Imagine if shohei came over without an interpreter and every interview with the greatest player ever went like this
We loved Muni in TO! Glue guy
Daz have you ever seen Major League? It's one of the funniest baseball movies ever. This interview seems straight out of that movie

you guys have to watch Jomboy's breakdown of game 5. it's brilliant
"Bye, son"
Y’all should react to the mls playoffs. I was at the Columbus v Red Bulls game and it was crazy. Defending champs knocked out.
He's very much like an anime character not just because of the way he says things, but how demonstrative he is with his hand gestures and expressions.
Dats waycist
@@Jimbow-sz9kh That's the dumbest reply of the week.

And yet after so many years, Shohei Ohtani still needs a translator? I’ve heard him speak English better than Murasaki.

kawa could have had a translator but apparently he never wanted one because he wanted to learn english

Can you guys react to Top 1# draft picks in nba history by Nonstop sports please.

His English really isn't perfect. He's funny, but he wasn't putting it on too much as far as faking inability to speak.
