The original version of Hedbanz has been one of the hottest selling games on the market for kids. But the newest iteration of the game is for grown-ups. Hedbanz for Adults has the same gameplay but with harder question cards.
To set up the game, each player wears a headband. Mix up the Clue Cards and place them facedown in the center of the playing area. Each player is dealt one Clue Card and, without looking at the card, places the card into the clip on the headband so that all other players can see it. Each player then gets three chips. Any remaining chips become the "bank".
To play, one player flips over the timer and asks the other players "yes" or "no" questions to help identify the clue on his headband. (There are sample question cards with question suggestions on them if you can't figure out what to ask.) The only question you cannot ask is "What am I?" At any point, you may ask, "Am I a...?" The other players can only answer your questions with "yes", "no", "could be", and "I don't know." If you guess the clue before the timer runs out, take another Clue Card and place it in your headband without peeking. Then continue asking questions until the timer runs out. For each Clue Card you guess correctly, put one of your Chips in the bank. Then it is the next player's turn. If you do not guess your clue before time runs out, keep the card and continue to guess what it is on your next turn. If you give up trying to guess a clue, you must collect one chip from the bank before taking a new Clue Card. The first player to get rid of all their chips wins.
Hedbanz for Adults comes with six headbands, 200 Clue Cards, 24 chips, and a timer. It is for two to six players.
