Hey, Arthur, my only suggestion would be, extend those rafters farther out to the front of the cabin and cover them with your roof material. Having your porch covered will be something you will enjoy in the future! All the best

Congratulation on spending your first night in your cabin. Please ignore the nasty comments as there are a lot of mean people on social media. My concern for you is having only one door in your cabin you do need a door to the back or a side door in case of emergency.
there is something called an UNWELCOME mat look it up, you can make one with what you have there and it will take care of that bear problem, and yes its a problem, its getting used to you and your smells with no fear. bears are no joke, even black bears. GOD BLESS
