this man make the best amps in the earth!! my avenger hot rod 50 is the BEST amp I've ever had. It has THE TONE that i want. the tone that lived in my head for years. A single channel and versatile tube amp designed and builded like a tank and with the most powerful, natural & amazing crunch and high gain that my mind can imagine :) thanks for my amp Mr. Mike Soldano. grettings from Ecuador
the PERFECT gigging amp. Even with the plethora of boutique amps that have been shoved into the marketplace over the last decade, Soldano are still one of the best sounding and best built amps on the planet. And they have GREAT customer service as well. I want one of these HR-25 amps REALLY, REALLY badly :-)
Thanks! Depending on what sounds you're after this could be a great option for you. The HR25 is based on the SLO-100 preamp, but it's pretty hard to describe a tonal difference over the internet. We will be posting more videos of the different amp models to this UA-cam channel to help you guys explore your options when it comes to finding the right Soldano tone. Make sure to subscribe.
JB54379 Haven't heard them for a long time in a room ect..but I really want one and would mod it so the Effects send/return loop was not in the front as they are designed. I would love to use it with the T.C Gmajor which is utterly transparent and would be a perfect match. Also I have collected many stomper boxes and so I would love to experiment with those too:)
I love this concept and have owned and been a huge SLO fan for many many years. But I can't help but think this would hit a big time home run in an EL34 version too. I know I would be in line for one. Love the OD channel of the amp's tone, but think it would have even better lead tones with EL34's. No disrespect, just my humble and very subjective opinion. Mr. Soldano, you are legend in my mind. Total respect to you, sir.
Good luck to Mike , I think it's well earned to take a step back after all the hard work running a business and bringing out great amps. If the quality is still good I'll continue to buy amps
Killer amp!! This thing really is a mini SLO. I side by side demo'd the Hot Rod 25 with a SLO. Both sounded very similar but I actually liked the Hot Rod 25's overall tone better. Mike hit a homerun with this amp. Huge sounding and doesn't sound like a 25 watt amp at all but sounds great at all volumes.
Also just so you know, Michael will see your comments from time to time, but he's not personally responding to these posts. He doesn't have time to hang on social media sites because he's busy in the shop making killer amps! That said, let's hear your feedback... we'll make sure it's heard!
An attenuation switch is not something offered in the standard model, but CUSTOM is our middle name (Seriously!). If there's something you're dreaming up, don't hesitate to call the shop and talk to us about the custom amplifier you're ready to build. Sky is the limit.
Yeah, Soldano amps are expensive. But I think they come with a fully transferable lifetime warranty... oh, and they sound amazing. My problem is I need flexibility, so if I were going to drop that much right now, I'd probably get a Marshall JVM410. I like lots of tonal options.
+Guitar Whores You should look at the Cornford MKII, it has great tone and is very flexible with two Send/returns and each channel can be boosted from gentle clean/crunch to heavy rhythm and very high gain. For me Soldano and Cornford leave Marshall behind in the tonal department.
This is the only amp I've looked at that sounds great in every single demo, and 25 watts is just about perfect. Just waitin' for that tax return, then maybe I'll sell some stuff... I'm seriously missing the Soldano sound since I sold my JCA50h.
wow! sounds great.... i can only imagine what 2 of them would sound like in stereo through my g-system... thats it i'am selling my 2 fender twins......cheers tim
I have owned a Purple HR50 W/matching 4x12 cab for about as long as I remember. It's a killer amp. This amp has my wheels spinning. Can never have too many heads & cabs. Is Purple available?
I love this amp. I almost have enough dough for it. I love low wattage amps but don't like the gain sounds of el84 or 6v6 tubes. Mike is brilliant in designing this with larger tubes. When I get the rest of my money for it I need to ask Mike if I can get one with the crunch switch like the slo. ps. Way Harsh productions. I luv it
Hello Mike I am a sparky analogue man myself, with a day job repairing SCR's and DC motors on offshore drilling rigs. This job permits me sponsoring my guitar world :) I am sick and tired of 1001 preset and amp simulators that you get sidetracked mocking around knobs instead of practising. If you can give us an amp with an attenuator build in for home practising I will be interested, Seriously! SLO 100 is the best amp out there but no use for me at present. Post videos of your No1 products !!!
I know I'm a bit late, but Mike said the FX-Loop would be post Master Volume. So I'm pretty shure the only thing post Master volume are the Tubes, OT and the Speaker Jack. I think he means either pre Master Volume or Post Preamp Volume... OR I'm wrong an know Jack Shit ':-)
Dust Rider he means post master. The masters here are channel masters which also function as send level. There is no global master either pre or post loop.
All the damn illegals we have over here and Soldano can't get that price down a little? WTF man! I jest of course. Actually I got to hear a Jet City ....JCA22H?? head. Supposedly the circuit is "Soldano designed", anyway, I have to say I was pretty impressed with it. I have yet to hear a side-by-side with the real deal but for the price it had some really nice tones in it. Anyone out there ever played around with both?
+Jake Roberts Have a jca 50, I repair amps and the jca 50 and hot rod 50+ are identical circuts. jca use's import parts but are all top quality. Good tubes and proper biasing and an A,B test if u couldn't see them u couldn't tell apart.
I've watched it .Not quite the same amps and I said the jca has to be tubed with good tubes and re-biased. They use really bad tubes (output tubes are 6l6 gb's not gc's. gc's are rated for over 400 v and 30 watts gb's are 300v @ 23 watts. that's why they bias so cold, amp has 480 plate volts.) stock and are biased so cold I'm suprised they even play.. When I did this to mine it made all the difference. The biggest difference is transformers all tho the jca are import they are built to Soldano specs. Once re-done most people in a blind test would not be able to tell. Someone should A-B a stock jca and one that's re-tubed, re-biased, I'm not saying it's as good an amp but tne differences are mainly in the construction that make the soldano like a tank.
Soldano Amps are still the best after all these years. Glad to see new stuff coming out of the shop.

Honestly, his amps sound the best every time I see one in person. So much better.

Is it possible to have a Soldano amp/head built with EL34 power-tubes instead of 6L6? Thank you!
Love the tones of this amp!!!
This is the best sounding amp I've ever heard over YT waves.wow...Gotta hear one of these up close and personal.
They actually sound better in person than this video!
JB54379

Good guess. The Lucky 13 (head and cabinet) and Reverb-O-Sonic (combo) are next on the list!
Soldano Custom Amplification We never got that ROS video and it will never happen now :-(
I'm speechless, it sounds sooooo good!
Good luck to Mike , I think it's well earned to take a step back after all the hard work running a business and bringing out great amps.
If the quality is still good I'll continue to buy amps
Wow! I want this already!!! Looks killer!!!
Great video , Michael !!! I am looking forward to buying one of these !!!

Great Stuff Mike! Never Stop what your doing!
Nice description of how it works.
I would love to work for Soldano Amplification. They're fabulous.
ahaha amazing, the SLO on the left with the italian flag is a beauty and the babe on the grillcloth is a touch of style,I love it :D
Also just so you know, Michael will see your comments from time to time, but he's not personally responding to these posts. He doesn't have time to hang on social media sites because he's busy in the shop making killer amps! That said, let's hear your feedback... we'll make sure it's heard!
I wish I had never sold my SLO, now they're not available anymore.
So I'm down to either this or the lucky 13 for my second Soldano.
An attenuation switch is not something offered in the standard model, but CUSTOM is our middle name (Seriously!). If there's something you're dreaming up, don't hesitate to call the shop and talk to us about the custom amplifier you're ready to build. Sky is the limit.
perfect watt size for the italian bands who have a gig in pub , great!

Awesome!! Love your Amps! Got 3! But now I need 4.........
Sounds fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow this thing seriously kicks tone. I may just liquidate a few items of mine to make this my next amp.
Nice. I' like to see a hot rod 50 featuring two EL34s.
Note Mike says in a nutshell, this amp is capable of far more than most people think ,I dare anyone to put p90s through it , wow!
awesome amp
This is the only amp I've looked at that sounds great in every single demo, and 25 watts is just about perfect. Just waitin' for that tax return, then maybe I'll sell some stuff...

I second that!! Please!
There is a guy called EddieVegas here on UA-cam that demonstrates guitar through one and it sounds amazing!
Okay 10-4. Next video, we'll do longer clips. Thanks!
Great amp! My question is: it's cathode bias or fixed bias?
I have owned a Purple HR50 W/matching 4x12 cab for about as long as I remember. It's a killer amp. This amp has my wheels spinning. Can never have too many heads & cabs. Is Purple available?
Love it. Nice work!
Please demo a slo 100, with a without the depth option, thanks soldano guys!!!
Is that a Custom Power Transformer do drop the plate voltage, or is the amp using power scaling with a built in circuit.
That od channel sounds a lot like invasion of your privacy!!! 😱😍❤️

Bring Back the Surf Box or make a New Reverb!!! I've got the decatone prototype #2. Great Amp!! just need a great reverb
Holy crap I want one of those
Hi from Spain...what is the best noise gate for Soldano amps because the effects loop of my soldano hot rod 50 plus is + 4db?.....thank you
Does this use the same pre-amp circuit as the Jet City JCA22h?
Demo the Lucky 13 next, please!!!!!!
That's Awesome ! How much i$ it ?
Can I still buy this amp? I want it bad!
What speakers are in the cabinet?
Nice the real MoJo JoJo of guitar amps & made is USA one day I will have one Mike thanks

Post videos of your No1 products !!!
What’s the difference between this and the SLO 30?
The SLO 30 has a depth control, and also the Normal channel has both clean and crunch modes that this doesn’t.
quick question, what's the name of that tiny teal green combo amp on the right?
It's a Soldano Tiny Teal.
price?
.SOLID.
I miss my Astro 16 :(
I need one soldano please jajaja!!..
Deep mod????

Sounded good on the first gain sound... about it.
OMG. I REALLY
did not need to see this video. Lol.
this amp is fuckin awesome, but im scared to look at the price.
Goddamn!
Add a reverb tank in mine please
But this one goes to eleven- Nigel
little war machine!
Il sogno di una vita poter evere un SLO 100
$2250 + $900 for the cab is too rich for my blood. The SLO 100 is over $4k. These are amps for rock stars, not us mere mortals.
$2,650.oo US
Why is Saul Goodman demoing my next amp ?
:D
$2,250.00 for the head alone is somewhat PRICEY I'd say !! at least for the average JOE
All the damn illegals we have over here and Soldano can't get that price down a little? WTF man!

"The Tone King" did a A/B test of the two Amps. Check it out, its easy to hear the difference.
I've watched it .Not quite the same amps and I said the jca has to be tubed with good tubes and re-biased.
