Thank you, step one worked. It wouldn’t have been the end of the world if tv had stopped working in that it’s less than 6 months old so I could have got a replacement from the seller. But it would have taken time to sort, and as a deemed vulnerable to Covid person, advised to self-isolate, that would have SUCKED big.
I followed these instructions and my tv now works perfectly...THANK YOU!

It seriously works. I thought my Xbox was broken because it had a black screen and didn't say anything. I borrowed a DVD player to watch a movie and it had the same black screen issue so I found this video and it worked perfectly. I can play videogames again! I haven't played a game in a couple months. I have a Hisense 55H9G and a gray horizontal bar appeared across the bottom of the screen. Unplugging it worked... the bar is gone. Thanks Juan.

The dislikes are probably coming from people that watched this video for some serious in-depth type of reset and got the usual reset sequence most try before searching for the answers. Just my 2 cents considering that's the category I'm in although I'm not leaving a dislike. The video does help some that don't know the first things to try

There's absolutely no display, o can't even navigate the system menus. It's just all black and no matter what I do even if it means I'm plugging and replugging or relocating something to another port, it's just black, the backlight is on but that's it

Hi there Juan.Apparently all my HDMI ports have stoped responding.the tv port works fine cuz my cable is on but I can’t seem to connect any other appliance through hdmi.Have tried all the resets and its not working.What might be the problem please. Cheers

I have hisense TV.. When i plug out the wire (electricity issues in Pakistan that's why), the time gets reset.. I added time then i plugged out the wire and again plugged in.. The time changes? Do you experience this?

I have had my TV for approximately one year. I have tried everything that you stated and nothing is working period on the original remote there is no numbers and I don't know what the source button is either I can't afford a new TV
My Hisense TV is stuck on a grey screen whenever I turn it on (none of the buttons respond either, except for the power button). This has never happened to me in the year that I have owned it for.
Did it work when u trued this cause it it happens to me the same exact thing like your problem pls tell me this worked

It work it work it work I did unplug my TV then after 60 sec I plug in again whala I have my picture back and no more black screen. Had this problem for the past week thanks alot I almost took my big screen in for fixing. 🙏 Thanks again.

This may be a dumb question but I hope someone will answer.
I don't have anything plugged into any hdmi ports. I get either blue screen or weak signal error. Then I got what I think is the Hisense wallpaper/screensaver as well after resetting the wifi and tv. I can't check the input through the screen because I can't get there. This is my 1st time to have a tv that operates on wifi only. No cable just Amazon and other apps. Please help!

I got a Hisense roku TV (supports 4K) and everything works just fine as far as picture is concerned but whenever I go to play a show Netflix, Amazon prime, crave, the screen goes black but the subtitles for the show still appear on the screen and the audio works as well. Its very strange to be honest but I'll see if the first method will work.

I have a hiesene TV I've had for 1 year and a month and it has gone out I done what you said it be trying to come on but doesn't it has a very faint picture I can see the TV come on but it goes back off what should I do about it?
Our one did the same thing....vey dim Hisense logo, followed by the Smart logo, then nothing...... tried the first trick several times but no good. Cant do the second trick because there is nothing to see on the screen......

I had to keep turning mine on and off numerous time to get it to work but now has finally broke for good. Im not too angry about it finally dying because its 5 years old and was only £350 for 55" 4k HDR tv So even though my Hisense Broke I would still recommend and buy another as I have had a £2500 Samsung die in 8 months

Same thing here. Can't get into menu cuz it's completely blacked out. Someone told me it's the very small bulb inside the t.v. but very hard to find that bulb
It actually worked. I can see the images but it’s very low on brightness. I can’t see enough to add the brightness from the remote 🤷🏽♂️

Brought 2 months apart from different stores they both had this pwr issue, bloody annoying for brand new TV's!
It has sound but when i reset it it like flashes a white screen that then turns gray so the backlight is okay and the sound it just doesnt have a picture
I was cleaning the screen then left the room when I came back screen was black but had color vertical strips going down.I tried everything reboot, unplug wipe screen and white flashes occurred. In back I see one white light thru panel. Did it burn up or what. It's a 55" tv can't afford another right now.
Hmm not sure on that. When it comes to pixels going bad there isn't much you can do.

Soooo, my tv turns on, it flashes the blue hisense logo, the screen turns black and the red light flashes about 6 or 7 times and then turns off. We've replaced the power source board and nothing has changed. Any suggestions??
