Precisely has mixed consequences you according to him he thought citizens will be scared and run into hiding. ironically the kdf has attracted people to follow them chanting am sure others think military has taken over and Ruto has ceded power. Its very tricky that why you saw police started scattering the demonstrators from the kdf. My 2 cent advise ghe kdf shud not be moving in town it raises eyebrows but stationed in various govt buildings to protect them. Marching in town with tankers and artillery is sending signal that Ruto has lost control of govt. Meanwhile shud move fast to make changes in govt to restore confidence. His lies wont help he must deliver and be seen to be pro-poor
