I have the enduro now for 10 days, day and night with fitnesstracker and made 6 hous activitys and battery is at 61 percent. I have also a fenix 6x pro solar and made today 3 hours hiking with both watches together. Fenix 6x solar take 21 percent in this 3 hours hiking with navigation. The enduro take only 5 percent (also with route and navigation) Thats fantastic!
Excellent video, my fenix 6 blue titanium has a solar benefit about 0,5 percent per hour, so i non activity mode it charges slightly on direct sunlight😀

Tough one! I like all the fitness functions of a Fenix/Forerunner, like the heart rate and smart functions of the Apple Watch, like the sleep tracking of Polar, like the reliability of a COROS. Wish I could combine them all! Thanks!

I think Apple could do some basic things to extend battery life before even looking into solar, such as even lower brightness options beyond the few options they currently have. I dunno, I keep holding out hope every year for bump in battery life and every year and left wanting more.
Agree that that appears to be the number one objection that people express about the Apple Watch. Even accepting that the Apple perspective might be the Watch is a smartwatch first (fitness watch second), the reality is that most people buy them in droves for the fitness features. I don't understand..the Enduro 1 has more autonomy as a watch and less with the GPS, and most of the time we are not running ultras in the general balance, won't the Enduro 1 have more autonomy? thanks
If a device collects the battery drain information in the FIT file, you can then view it in an analysis tool like the one I used in this video (www.dcrainmaker.com/analyzer). Garmin devices seem to be the only ones who write this information to the FIT file at the moment unless I am not recalling others.

Great looking watch, but I wish they included mapping like on the newer Fenix series watches.
Yup, could have been a factor in getting this much battery life though as the mapping does take a hit on battery consumption.

One question - can we charge this watch to 100% using only solar? I mean, I wont use any function beside time
Yes IF watch screen on direct sun light!
It is very slow to charge but you could use the battery saver option if you only want this watch to tell the time.
Did you buy the watch? Why not a $10 digital watch if only using time.

They were able to optimize battery life with new GPS chipset on the Enduro 2. I still do love the standby battery life of the original Enduro though!
