- If you are purchasing a ceramic shampoo or ceramic detail spray, sadly in my opinion you are getting ripped off with 2 products that you do not need. Instead you should be maintaining and protecting your ceramic coated car with dedicated clean chemistry products rather than loading the paint with layer after layer of weak product which very quickly clogs the clear coat and has a very fast detrimental effects.

Sadly you are right. I would recommend a heavy decon wash to restart and then build from there.

I agree, this ceramic thing has never sat well with me. Can I just ask out of curiosity, I’ve just looked at three different large car care supply shops and I noticed none of them stock your products. Is this because of your honesty and info about what’s really happening? Because presumably they wouldn’t sell all these products if this was the case 😮
Certain products are needed, most others should be put straight in the trash!

@@Jagz.X yes it is always strange that these retailers never approach us yet proceed to stock and promote brands that openly do not care. But our ethos remains the same, we do not want to be in every corner shop but work with the best people who actually love and care what they do

Hi Nick, my car has recently been given the full Yum treatment. A complete decontamination and clay bar, ceramic sealant followed by Yum Wax the following day. The week after it got Foam Plus and Detailer drying aid. It is so smooth and super slick and the hydrophobics are insane. It also has Glass Plus. Keep up the good work. 👍

If a car has a ceramic coating why do you need to put anything on top of it, I thought the idea was the coating is protecting the car. All i should need to dry it.
You are exactly right the comment. This is the whole point of the video. Our drying aid for example is a non intrusive product it does not add anything in the form of protection but purely only gloss and extra slickness

As a weekend warrior, I 1 snow foam then 2 shampoo then 3 Yum foam+ towel dry every week or fortnight is this ok

I completely agree on the ceramic shampoo part I don’t want my shampoos to have any gloss enhancers or leaving any protection behind….and I do agree you don’t want 3 or 4 layers of protection stacked on top of each other but I do think ceramic detail sprays have their own place in the drying aid world (Amplify by ADS is the best 1 I’ve used) for example if your doing a maintenance wash on a coated vehicle I don’t see the issue with using a sio2 detailer as a drying aid….I’m glad I’m able to obtain your products in America from Clean Garage, I have a variety of different spray sealants in my garage and your Ceramic Sealant is easily 1 of my favorites and definitely has the best scent, UNDRESS is the strongest tire cleaner I’ve tried and love how much foam lathers up when agitating, I ordered more undress the other day and your “wheel foam” and “wash” excited to try them
You are right regards ceramic detail sprays as a stand alone however most people without knowledge will mix ceramic shampoos, ceramic detail sprays and then even wipe down with something else causing a huge overloading over the paint.

HI, I'm very new to this so please bear with. As this video talks about layers, I'm somewhat confused. I plan to use a Glaze on my vehicle, but if I also want to use Foam + - Do I a) Wash the car normally, use Foam + & dry, then apply the Glaze and them finish this was a wax or b) Wash the car normally & dry, apply Glaze and then I can use Foam + & dry again? Or should I not be combining the Glaze & Foam + in the one cycle? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated TIA

Once you get the hang of the order it will get easier for you.
Personally we do not like a glaze style product and this is why we will never manufacture a product like this.
But if you really want to use it, glaze first then foam+ on the future washes

I was looking to read the comments below before commenting myself but as I was viewing this early & no comments thus far here goes. I recently watched content from a well known channel that escapes me currently but they gave your foam plus a glowing review so I wonder if that is where your orders came from. I am sure they said that it could be layered over waxes and sealants of our own choices. I have tended to use a suite of products from the same manufacturer through my detailing story. Though after nearly 15 years of being a geek over detailing content and looking after my own & other cars I do have an eclectic mix of products that I use and am really sure they look good. My own cars I do stick to one brand so they are all cross compatable.. Obviously I started with Auto Glym to Auto Finesse & Autobrite Direct to Angelwax then Garage Therapy & now Mitchell & King as they are ten minutes from my house as are Angelwax. I have yet to use any of your products sadly but they are on my wish list but I do follow your content because I like your ethos and tend to agree with everything you say. I look forward to more content like this.
The reason foam+ can be layered is because it cross links rather than sitting on top of the base layer, this is where the example white haze and clumps comes from.
2 very well known spray rinse sealants after 2 applications begin to clump on the paint and this directly shows that they just sit on whatever is underneath them.
This is why this video was filmed, too many in between products actually cause a detrimental effect to the whole process yet the consumer is almost forced to believe that they need to use 5 products when only 1 or 2 are required during that specific step
@@YumCars I am beginning to catch on that the "sexy" products are not required they are packaged to attract our attention. It's a bit like Salmon Flies for a fisherman most are purely to catch the fisherman not the Salmon. Sometimes I put my own multi use chemical into the sexy bottle to wean me off it then I just give up when the addiction has worn off. The only issue is when another supplier comes out with a "super sexy" product then us consumers are in real trouble and you guys are quids in.
It all depends on the product of course. Some products are 100% needed others are a total waste.
Like 15 snow foams by 1 brand or 7 car shampoos by another…
Hello nick just put CarPro c quartz sic on my car can I use your Yums detail spray on top as drying aid not effect coating try to stop scratching
As your drying aid yes!
Your only job with a coating is to wash it with shampoo that doesn’t strip or add and then top it with a slick drying aid. Very simple maintenance regimen. Once every so often top the coating with our ceramic spray sealant ( we do this every 3 months ) and go back to maintaining with the drying aid.
Apologies if this is a stupid question but when you say you'll never manufacture a "ceramic detailer", what do you mean by that? I understand you won't make a ceramic shampoo, and you do have a ceramic sealant spray. Thanks
Not a silly question at all.
A ceramic spray sealant and a ceramic detailer are 2 different products. So yes we do have a much stronger sealant in the line up but we will never make an in between product like a ceramic detailer. We would much rather you top your existing base layers with a dedicated topper like our drying aid.

Hi I’ve got Yuma ceramic and foam + and at the moment I’ve got the ceramic spray on my car when that needs reapplying would you go with foam + or just top up with the ceramic spray
Keep the ceramic spray sealant as the base and top with foam+ 🫶

I’ve recently picked up the Ceramic to try at some point, as I’m already using Foam+ would you recommend waiting until it needs reapplying & hit with a strong Citrus mix & then apply the Ceramic & top with Foam+? Then lay your base as the ceramic spray sealant and maintain on from there
Many assumptions and generalisations made here considering your effectively claiming the same , there are many detailers/ booster specifically made to work with compatible ceramic coatings , NV ceramic and NV boost v2 for example, your general claim that they don’t and “yours” does is a little worrying 😢
Absolutely no assumptions. We have bought every single ceramic infused product category available on the planet to test this is why we can speak about this topic more than 99.9% of people.
We never said only ours work at all and you may of misunderstood the point of this video. The reason for this video which you are not aware of, we've had 100's of customers in this exact predicament of confusion and too much product, so it is only fair to make a video to explain it.
As an example once again, a person may wash their coated car with a ceramic shampoo and then top with a ceramic booster which is 100% over loading the paint and also making both the ceramic shape and ceramic detailer not fully effective. This example is fairly common sense and anyone with basic knowledge knows this is wrong.

As valeter of 20 years i no a thing about products and yumcars are some of the best . Ceramic shampoo do pretty much nothing and dont foam , ceramic detail spray can go cloudy or hard to work with but you try yumcars foam plus and or detail spray there easy and the results are better fact
