This song embodies my experience of Ireland. The people, the music and history.
Greetings from Northern California. I’m not Irish but my grandparents were. I guess you’d call me one of the Irish diaspora. I visited Ireland and Northern Ireland in June of 2019, I asked a man in Dublin if my last name was Irish and he said yes and welcome home. I really felt a kinship with the Irish people. I wouldn’t mind moving there.

Can't believe this song's only 7 months old, feels like it's been in our culture for generations.
Some of it is taken from an old irish blessing, some of the rest from the culture.
I heard an a cappella choir from Trinity College (US- not the one in Dublin) sing something like this about 10-15 years ago…

How appropriate (and oddly prescient) that y'all released this song literally two months before the pandemic. It's such an uplighting anthem for bonds that time, distance, and even death cannot break. This song brought tears to my eyes.
