Have you worked with HL7 version 2, and are in the process of getting to know FHIR? This tutorial presents an introduction to FHIR, using HL7 v2 analogies, HL7 v2 concepts and HL7 v2 examples. We cover aspects such as Segments (Resources), CX data type (reference), CE data type (terminology aspects), Messages (FHIR messaging versus RESTful FHIR), conformance profiles (profiling and implementation guides). Attendees are expected to have solid knowledge of HL7 version 2, and to have little knowledge of FHIR. At the end of this tutorial you'll be aware of the foundational components of FHIR.
