Here is a step by step guide on how to replace the dash on this truck:
1. Prepare Your Workspace
Park the vehicle on a flat surface and ensure the ignition is turned off.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid any electrical issues.
2. Remove the Old Dash Panel
Remove Trim Pieces: Use trim removal tools to carefully pry off the top center plastic tray. Then use both hands to pull the center dash away from the front. Be gentle to avoid breaking clips or damaging the trim. My vehicle's dash broke into several pieces during the removal due to sun damage. Unscrew the Dash Panel at the center top to loosen the center top retainer. Detach the Panel: Gently pull the dash panel away from the dashboard. Be careful not to pull too hard because of the connected wiring harnesses and cables.
3. Disconnect Electrical Connectors
Locate Connectors: Identify and disconnect any electrical connectors attached to the back of the dash panel, including those for the climate controls, radio, and other accessories.
Label Wires: Label the wires with tape if necessary to ensure correct reconnection later.
4. Prepare the New Dash Kit
I removed the climate control knobs, hazard lights activator, and airbag warning light from the old dash and installed them in the new one. I applied a bead of epoxy to the panel with the knobs since the new one was slightly loose. I also removed the old AC Blower Vents and installed them in the new one. The new one had vents, but the old ones were still in good shape and they were of better quality. Use the top center locking mechanism from the old dash and install it on the new one.
5. Install the New Dash Kit
Connect Wiring: Connect the wiring harnesses from the vehicle to the new dash kit.
Fit the Dash Kit: Carefully align the new dash kit with the mounting points and secure it in place. Ensure all connectors are properly attached and that there are no loose connections.
Tighten the top center screw to lock the dash into place.
6. Top Storage Tray
Install the Upper Dash Bezel Storage Box into the top center of the dash.
7. Reconnect the Battery and Test
Reconnect Battery: Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Test Functions: Turn on the ignition and test all functions related to the dashboard, including the climate control, radio, and any other features to ensure they work correctly.
I installed a PLZ Double Din Radio into the vehicle at the same time, to replace an old stereo that I had in the vehicle. The PLZ radio was easily installed and it came with a backup camera that was also easy to install.

I just got a 2006 se 6 speed and i tugged on the back of the trim and it instantly broke , it was all one piece 😢
