Indeed, these carriages are based on the French Corail, offering similar seats and ride quality, which is to say very comfortable, especially for the price as low as 5€ Lisbon-Faro if reservated with anticipation.
Its intercidades not interdidades :)! Nice video.. now you should try the alfa pendular train! It Does the same routes but is a more suffisticated train
Haha I need to work on my Portugese ;). I also did a trip on the Alfa Pendular, actually the same route but I'll show the station of faro on that video. This will be published tomorrow late afternoon :). The Alfa Pendular is much nicer.
Greek railways, come here and take a good lesson about what a proper station looks like and how to properly run trains. Also those carriages are essentially the same as Corail cars in France, but so much better equiped and maintained. Keep up the good work CP !
Thank you :). I'm planing to do some more tourist trains as well. Let's see when it's possible to travel again. At least I do have one video per week for the next 7 weeks to upload. Made out of journeys in the past.
@@Trainviking Nice video. When in Portugal again, don't miss the old tourist train that goes alongothe Douro Valley, in the North. ua-cam.com/video/VmA7YyB9LLw/v-deo.html. Or the historic train, in the same route: ua-cam.com/video/8p5mxLJtN2s/v-deo.html. The landscape is asrtonishingly beautiful!
Trainviking love trains. Miss Europe. Love Portugal. Had a place there. I wish we had more train travel here in the USA. Someday it might go away completely as funding has been a problem. Take care, mike
@@chicagomike Well in the US the passenger numbers are going up as well.. so who know what might happen. Funding is always an issue, even in Europe. Within specific countries lines are in general okay but trains that do cross borders... funding can be a true issue. Although we have more and more commercial trains in Europe as well (I have mixed feelings about this, I explain a bit about this in my Ougo video). In a way I feel like public transport needs to be a service from the government to the people (and this service can be profitable at some lines) I recently saw this video: ua-cam.com/video/dSw7fWCrDk0/v-deo.html (interesting channel in general by the way).
Trainviking I thought some of the trains were privatized or no. Oh interesting. No there is little hope for Amtrak here. Good on short distance like nyc to Washington DC. Ridership up. Thanks for your links. Stay healthy.
great video
greetings from Germany
Nice video Lisbon orienté looks very modern and the seats on the intercity train are the same seats used on SNCF corail

Unlike the French, these are stainless steel cars. They are far more durable.
@@Mpl3564 SNCF carriages look like they're good for the scrapyard. Apart from not being made of steel, they're also very poorly maintained.
@@that90skid72 Ok. I never travelled in French ICs.
Oriente station is ugly
Too bad these fast trains make it hard to see the country. They zoom to fast, I think. Lovely video.
Thank you :).

lekker corail dus..
Ja, maar dat wist ik niet toen ik deze video maakte haha
its intercidades
Second class looks like a bad bus. Yuk. LOL.
Kind of, but of course it's more comfortable. Not only the chairs bug also the fact that you're in a track instead of on the road.
