- DATE：March 2022 Minamiizu is the southernmost town of the Izu Peninsula in Japan.
Kawazu-zakura is known as one of the earliest cherry blossoms
Its cherry blossoms are larger and reddish in color, and they are more brilliant.
Every year around mid-February, 800 Kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms bloom along the Aono River, which flows through the center of the town.
Here you can enjoy the view of the flowers from below while listening to the soothing sound of the river.
The brighter reddish of the Kawazu-zakura goes great with the yellow rapeseed flowers, making for a stunning contrast.
静岡県の伊豆半島の最南端にある南伊豆町は、下賀茂温泉を流れる青野川の両岸に渡って続くサクラ並木とナノハナが美しく咲き誇る。この桜は、青野川沿いの両岸に4.2kmには早咲きの河津桜800本とナノハナが咲きみだれ、美しい並木を魅せてくれる。夜にはライトアップされて夜桜見物もできる。さらに下田温泉寄りにある日野地区ではナノハナが主役となり、広大な1.5ヘクタール花畑もある。
