I love the sounds of being at the bowling alley, and I really like this about your video. Congrats on the turkey!! And thanks for showing us the gutter balls, too :) Something that I like to do but am not great at is Zumba, which I do at the YMCA every week. It's fun and a good workout.

Thanks for the comment Alexis! When I filmed this it was the more quiet time of day at the bowling center and there was only one other person about ten lanes away. Eventually I was the only one left, which was fun and allowed me to tell myself that "I was the best bowler in the house" Keep up the Zumba sessions! It looks like a lot of movement to keep up with.

Domingo, my son is a professional bowler. We are a Bowling family. Your technique looks pretty good. You’ve got some nice fundamentals down packed.

Thanks Gil! I'll admit that my next practice session after this post felt a little off, but we know that success does not move in a straight line...so thank you and your son for the encouragement!

If you haven’t done it already, get yourself a ball from the pro shop, with a nice pair of shoes and a carrying case for you and your wife. Having your own equipment is a good feeling not only on your feet but the custom fit of a ball in your hand is important. You may even want to get a fingertip grip. This will help you with your release and create the ball motion you may be looking for.
This is where you begin to see why people will spend $150-$200 on a bowling ball. It’s like getting a really decent microphone, it’s part of the progress. Enjoy the ride and the strikes.

@@gilgarcialegacy Agreed! I bought my own gear a while back and went to fingertip grip on my entry level ball a few months ago. Eventually I'll upgrade to something stronger but for now I know that what I simply need is more practice. Thanks for the advice and encouragement! It is appreciated.

Domingo--HA! Great 3 strikes!! Next time, turn to face the camera to show us your JOY!!! I would bowl with my Grandmother and she always said and showed me..."Leave that hand up in the air until the ball strikes!

Oh, believe me, I'm having fun! It's been 6 days since I posted this video and earlier today I bowled my new best game of 185 🙂
