Hyperia, Britain's Tallest & Fastest Rollercoaster, Stuck at Top of Lift Hill Saturday 15th June

- We were so looking forwarded to getting a ride on Hyperia at Thorpe Park yesterday, Saturday 15th June but it unfortunately suffered issues. The poor riders at the time were stuck at the top of the Lift Hill for over an hour, during which time they had heavy downpours of rain as well as sunshine. Fortunately they were eventually brought down safe and sound.
Sounds like an issue where the block ahead was showing as not clear so the train was stopped. Have to remember the train in front as a guess has to be fully in the station to clear the block behind.its very possible the ride has a diesel backup to power the lift to return the ride to ground level rather than evac at height and the engineers were preparing themselves to use that as a worst case scenario.
Sounds that could be possible, or maybe a faulty sensor showing something on the track therefore stopping the train before navigating the lift hill. They seem to have sorted it, whatever it was, as has been running since the next day.
I guess this was Saturday or did it do it again today?
Yes was Saturday, Gutted we never got to ride but felt really sorry for the riders stuck up there for so long.

Must admit, I'm not a fan of The Big One, find it rough and not much to it after the First Drop. It does feel high though, recently rode Silver Star at Europa Park which is higher than the Big One, but did not feel as High when riding it.
@@coastermumclaire7996 I love the big one so much, mainly cause BPB was one of the first theme parks I went to so alot of good memories on it
@@cherryfizzer4076 I can fully understand that, it's the same I feel about Silver Star as it was the Coaster that made me an enthusiast.
The big one sucks, even for 1994 standards, it’s rough and has absolutely nothing to its layout

Probably just a sensor issue after all the rain. Wish I could ride it tomorrow.

@@2K1Entertainment_official we were trying to get the one shot fast pass for it just before it went down, so gutted we never got to ride. Did you enjoy your ride on Hyperia? It looks Fantastic.

This proves that Hyperia is kinda a problematic ride
Hopefully just teething problems, was running the next day. Have read a lot of people suggesting it was a sensor problem after there being a lot of rain that morning.
