Thanks for watching!
Thanks for introducing the fiskars ruler and cutter combo! Never seen it before. I ordered one immidiately! 😊
Love this video, and especially love that it is British, not American.❤😊
I will be making my second poncho today! I have 2 new beach towels ready. The first one I made was very popular. Thanks again to you and your Mum.
I've just had a look at your video - love the towels you used 😀
Very nice, thank you for the Tutorial. We went often at the summer to danish westcoast, 🤗there is always wind , and I sew me too a towel hoodie for me.
Awesome crocheted blanket in the background!
Thank you!
Have just finished making your towel poncho out of two towels I got cheap in the sale, I love it! Thank you so much for sharing this, it will be perfect for my sea swimming now its getting warmer! Thank you!
Brilliant! I'm glad it was useful 😃
Thank you! I can’t wait to try it!! 🥰
Thank you for this video. Really helpful and it looks great x
I made one by feel, as well. It took me two weeks before I had the guts to cut out the neck hole. I don't sew regularly so it was a bit scary. LOL
I LOVE MINE! It's great for going to the wild hot springs or the pool. :-D
fantastic tutorial, thank you!
I'm going to try making one this weekend! Thanks from Vancouver Island, Canada.
Hope you enjoy making one! 😀
Thanx, this was a very good guide. I still had to play around with the hood measurements and the neck opening. Like you I got there in the end.
That's great! Yes the hood is tricky but so worth it once you get it right 😃 I keep meaning to make another!
What a great instructive video!! I'm going to use it to make swim robes for my children (in swim training 3 times a week and unable to use changing rooms at the moment), as I can't afford DryRobes! Will use waterproof ripstop material backed with fleece so it will keep them warm as well as protect my car seats! Thank you!
Really pleased to hear that - glad you found the video useful 😊
Amazing! Thank you so much for this great tutorial. It helped me with my own version. Much appreciated!!
Thank you - it's lovely to hear it helped you make your own version!
Thank you, excellent tutorial
Very well done! I'm eager to try making one myself. Thank you so much for sharing!
You're welcome! I hope it goes well 😊
Great idea! ❤️
Thank you 😊
Thanks . This is just what I am wanting for my swimming.
Thanks, hope it helps! We enjoyed making it.
Fabulous video👍 I made a poncho a long time ago but had forgotten some of the process. This video really helped, thank you 🤩

Thsnk you for this x
Love ❤️
Great video and informative 😊☀️
Thank you! 😃
Very nice video thanku so much for your effort ❤
very nice
Thanks
Great video. Enjoyed watching your process. Can you tell me where you got your seam allowance tool. Looks very handy!
Thanks - the seam allowance tool is the Milward seam gauge - I got it in a local haberdashery shop but it looks like it's the same price on Amazon. It's very handy, and stops me accidentally melting plastic measuring tapes...
Love this! Is there room to get changed underneath this poncho?
Yes, I'd say it's roomy enough, but you could always test out the dimensions with an old bed sheet first!
Thanks! It's always cold in the sea down here!
Yes it is! It's very handy to have something to throw on after a dip in the sea here.
Just wondering why you sewed the side seams wrong sides together? Is the external seam not a issue?
Hi Sue, I chose wrong sides together as I was using the already finished edges of two towels and I felt it would reduce bulk, but that is a good point if you end up with raw edges if your towel started off too big or you are using towelling fabric. I would probably seal the raw edges with bias binding and still stitch wrong sides together but you could overlock and stitch right sides together.

Filmen går för fort rörig när ni är två idén är bra
I had to speed up sections of the make or it would have been a very long video! However, you might find reducing the playback speed on youtube helpful - it's under settings on the video.
Also, you might find the blog post I wrote alongside it helpful as this has written guidance and my basic diagrams to follow: bit.ly/32wgKVZ
