When did you first hear about the Iso Grifo and Bizzarrini? Special thanks to The Bond Group and of course the Patreon Supporters for making this content possible.
I saw one of these things in a parking lot at a Ralphs in Long Beach CA, same color. I was admiring it when the owner walked up and so we had a chat. He told me that he had just imported it from Italy and in fact it still had the original black-and-white square Milan registration plate. How cool is that!

On our trip, I had a pocket guide of Cars of the World., I looked it up. So, I've had a memory and fondness. Thanks Tedward for doing an unepected drive of a 1967 Iso Grifo!

I saw one of these at a car racing event about 10 years ago. I had no idea what it was so took some photos and then spent a couple of days researching it. So beautiful
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the bond group? I feel lucky to just watch these drives and loving it more and more. I find myself watching them twice. TY bond group and Tedward!! Best duo
I, and many other British boys born in the early sixties, first came across the Iso Grifo when the toymaker Matchbox produced a model of it. To this day, despite a life spent around cars, I have never seen one on the metal. Lovely car, fabulous sound, beautiful lines.... And the only one I have ever been anywhere near fitter into my coat pocket.
Ooh it’s my dream car! My father gave me all his old matchbox cars when I was a kid. The coolest, best looking one was the ISO. I loved the recessed headlights that were little crystals on the corgi model. So many good memories.
@@toofbrown6335 yes so true, it’s actually incredible how much a little toy can influence us. It’s the reason I like BMW’s with the e30 style grill because it has the same nose style. Also the reason I like a specific metallic blue it was painted 👌
Probably the most beautiful Italian Gran Turismo of the late 1960's to early 1970's. Designed by Giugiaro. The only thing it need to be even more perfect is an Italian V12. However, I think the Chevrolet 7.0L V8 is enough. But imagine if it ever had a Ferrari V12, or a Lamborghini V12, or an Alfa-Romeo V12.
@@A_Cowboy_called_JackRabbit Yes, the 7 Litri version with the Chevrolet 427 V8. I mean it is the same engine that is in the Corvette, and Chevy V8 are very reliable and still delivers excellent potential.

Excellent design and combination!!!! Every detail in the cabin is perfect and doesn't make you bored in long driving. The engine is a perfect choice for this design. What a lovely sound it makes. Thanks for this video.
I had an Iso Griffo Matchbox car. It was one of my favorites for the way it looked. There's a red one running around Charlotte that comes out to cars and coffees. So few know what it is.
In junior high school in 67 in the library there were these road and track mags that talked about ISO Grifo’s. I thought of them as Italian Corvettes....but don’t forget the Jensen Interceptors with Chrysler V8s.
Beauty. If you grew up as a kid in the 70's, you must know the car because you must have played with the sky blue models from Matchbox back in the day. Very elegant car, never seen for real. You own a treasure.
My recollection of Iso Grifo, goes back to when I was a "slot car" racer ... when It was 1st built - 1967. The last time I saw one; was when I attended "Concorso Italiano", at Black Horse, back in 2004.
had one of those when I was a wee lad, My mum bought me the Matchbox car, she had an eye for beautiful cars, and we used to play cars and make the sounds, but never imagined they would sound like that ! thanks for the drive!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience. She is really the ultimate mixture of Italian styling and US muscle heart. And yes, there's hardly any better just to let the big engine cruise on lazy low rpm, and to make sometimes a nice pull on open road:-)
I knew of this car because back when I was a lot younger I got an Iso Grifo Matchbox toy car as a gift. I thought it looked a bit like an Italian version of a Camaro at the time. Superb car!
Beautiful car. I saw one once. A long time ago. I was born in 1967, so this one is something special to me. I would love to hear more of that V8 at full song. Thanks for the drive.

In the summer of 1970, my older brother worked at a gas station along I-10, about 10 miles West of Houston. I was hanging out at the station one Sunday afternoon when a car unlike anything I'd ever seen came limping into the driveway on a flat rear tire. Turns out, it was an Iso Grifo. There was a Harley Davidson motorcycle sticking out of the trunk. This guy steps out of the car, hair way past his shoulders, and wearing a long flowing gown and sandals. He told us he was driving his friend's car from Florida to California, and asked if we had a tire that would fit the car. He didn't want to try to get the Harley out of the trunk to get to the spare. Of course, we didn't have anything nearly big enough to fit the rim, which looked like it was a foot wide. We scrounged around town and finally found an L78-15 tire in someone's garage, and managed to get it to pop on to the rim. He was hoping that would get him as far as San Antonio where he might be able to find a properly sized tire for the rest of his trip. Always wondered if he made it to S.A. on that old tire...
