I love this intro with the bells 🔔 🎵 This was one of the songs Tina clearly enjoyed performing. I only ever listen to live versions of this song. The studio version is too clean & slick. This is raw & rock!
The orignal studio version was absolutely too "shiny". I have an extensive background, starting with 8 years of clarinet in a small school. They started tuning the band off of me in 10th grade.....I get tone. People often discount me because I quit music when I graduated. Hell, I'm just trying to raise a family. I been married since I was 20, and I have one of the most based kids that was ever raised in his era.
A beautiful woman, great voice.
Tina Turner video's are like a potato chip you cant just eat one.....watching this video you want to watch the whole concert.....w0w I love me some TINA ,,,,,my DRUG!!!!!

@@edmundsishange3608 you see, I've watched more than enough of Tina's tours to really appreciate the filming crew. The angles, spots, lines. All is a part of the show, like the walk to the front stage. I'm pretty sure the crew at her final tour was the same, montage done on the go as well. Why did they reedit that i simply don't get

When she was over seas she uses the faster upbeat version and in the states uses this version.
GUYVC 4 the original recording of this song closely matches the style in which she is performing it here. The reasoning for a different performance style could stem from the songs hugely successful chart performance in the US for Turner vs a lackluster performance on the UK charts. Fans in the US are able to recognize (and most likely prefer) the slower tempo version vs the up tempo version. I prefer the up tempo.

@@gypsygirl9 no this is slower. Infact this tour was the only tour where Tina stuck as close as possible to the original arrangement, at least in the US, otherwise she's always uptempo'd this song and added a different intro whenever doing it live
This is the excitement we love Tina for but when will she stop exploiting Ike and her Black family with these domestic abuse sagas and admit that for 20 years she chose a fast, loose lifestyle with Ike to become rich and famous!!!???

TINA ONLY WANTED TO BE A MOTHER TO CRAIG BUT NOT RONNIE (HER SON WITH IKE) AND NOT HER TWO STEP SONS: Ike Turner said in an August 1985 interview with Spin Magazine that Tina was “convincing white people that she only cares about one of her kids, the one [Craig] she had before me.” Ike continued saying, “The others, especially our son [Ronnie], she’s saying she never wanted him, that she didn’t want to mother him. That hurt me, man. When we were together we never treated any of them differently. Not Ronnie, Craig, or the two sons I had before Tina [Ike Jr. and Michael]. Since we broke up, she’s saying that Craig is the only one she wanted to mother. This is the only time I’ve really been mad at her. Can you imagine those kids walking around and people saying, ‘Ah-ha, Tina ain’t your mama.’ I don’t care what she says about me, but my kids, that ain’t right.”
Tina didn't even invite her step sons to Craig's funeral nor were their names included in Craig's obituary. Sad.
You're repeating lies and innuendo. And you're blaming the victim of horrible, sustained abuse. Shame on you! The statements you make are from the mouth of Ike, a man who not only beat his 13 wives but also use drugs for most of his life and eventually died from a drug usage related issue. to believe his word, the word of an admitted violent and abusive man, over the word of a woman who put her life back together and eventually financially took care of her entire family, including her sisters her mother and her four sons, including it two of which she adopted.
He was a narcissist asshole who in this day and age wouldn't get away with what he did ..he preyed on the vulnerable because he was weak himself ....yes In some instance ike was her meal ticket but my God she payed the price ...if she had believed in herself from the beginning and had roger Davies as a manager from the start , then she wouldn't have needed the asshole in the first place ......the only good thing that came from him was the fact that it made Tina stronger and more independent....where she is now proves he was a nobody and she could do much better without him ....
