I think gen 3 is more of a MMO-ish "fantasy" like the knight, pirate, elf (archer?), necromancer, and chaos rabbit. While gen 4 is more fairytale "fantasy" with the princess, dragon, livestock, angel, and kabaya.

Just because Pekora has four ears doesn't mean her ears are fake. Lots of Kenomimi girls have four ears. All four members of Hololive Gamers have that too. If they didn't have four ears they'd have weird, alien-like bald-spots on the sides of their head, which would be gross.
Most of the Hololive Gamers have their hair hide them VERY well. - Fubuki's base design hides them very well. We can confirm she does have human ears through the Azur Lane collab (directly shown) and through her 2nd outfit/loli design where you can actually see the tip of her human ears. - Korone's can be seen from her live 2d model and 3d model. - Can't confirm Mio at all unless you count her in-game Azur Lane sprite. - Can't confirm Okayu at all. As for the other girls: - Matsuri has a kemonomimi mode. But even without it, we can plainly see she has human ears. Not sure if she counts. - Pekora's can be seen from her live 2d model and 3d model. - Can't confirm Watame (hair hides them). - Coco's can be seen (though her horns don't count as ears anyway).
@@ExDragonMaster Watame's ears are partially hidden but can be seen. She has long, fluffy, sheep-like ears which actually replace her human ears and exist where they otherwise would. So Watame is confirmed for having Kenomimi but also confirmed for having only two ears.
