Love your work Nick, however I couldn't quite agree with you on this one. Clearly the décor is chosen by the owner on yachts of this calibre, and I have to say I was not impressed on this occasion. Certainly, decor is a matter of individual choice. The other thing that didn't impress me, and which left me wondering quite heavily, was the poor catering of Riva for the crew quarters. All their cabins had 'wet' heads. For a yacht of this size, unacceptable. For a yacht of this calibre and renown, again, unacceptable! It left me wondering just how many Captains, let alone crew would want to service on this vessel for any real period of time. Don't get me wrong, I like wet heads and they ave their advantages. I just think that Captains specifically, but perhaps crew too, will want for something better from owners who can spend this sort of cash for a boat like this. Perhaps this will give them leverage to negotiate a better wage deal over other vessels to help offset the poor conditions. But let's face facts, we have seen better on less prestigious yachts. To see the ostentatious decor elsewhere on the yacht's decks and exterior and yet have so little regard for comfort for the crew was glaring disparate and wanting in my view. Great tour nonetheless... Fair 💨's and following 🌊's!
Lovely motor yacht but turned off completely by the tiny crew cabins with wet room heads. There is absolutely no excuse for not even having basic separate shower stalls on a vessel of this size and calibre.
I have stayed in a 7 metre motor home that has a separate shower.
IDK, the lower helm's viability is pretty bad, and the interior seems very stripped down base model, neither luxurious nor homey. I know you can order one anyway you like , but this one's done, unless you want to spend more to remodel the interior.
It's a very 1960s modernist Chase Manhattan Plaza Mad Men kinda vibe
though the video was great - for style and just plain taste it was missing the mark for me. for its length it was pathetic for crew quarters both in quality and size. The galley was very disappointing considering smaller yachts can have both a main galley with more in it and a crew galley. wouldnt even pay 4 million for that
What an ugly boat, poor design, poor layout, and disappointing tour. Nick your work is always good, so this isn’t about you, it’s the boat. One of my measures of a good boat is how the crew are treated. A wet head for 4 people? Wet heads are a joke. Each person has to mop the floors every time, or everyone gets wet clothes when they sit on the toilet. I owned a. 40 foot boat with 2 heads. One with a nice shower stall and one with a wet head. I never had anyone use the wet head. They were always invited to use the ensuite shower stall. If I was designing a super yacht, I would start with the galley and crew cabins. They need to be well equipped and comfortable since they become a home for the occupants. Cutting back on the size of guest baths or staterooms to create a few more feet of space for crew is well worth the effort. Happy crew equals happy yacht.
This is a perfect example of style over substance. This isn't REALLY a functional yacht. From the lack of useable space, to the large amount of wasted space, to the closet crew cabins, to the crew wet heads... 13 million!? Not sure who would pay more than 1 or 2 for this. This is a "i have a yacht" show piece than a real yacht.
Not worth anything CLOSE to the asking price.
But great tour as always!
so crew get double beds that look like they're cramped from the singles above and the captain barely gets a single it's still a very nice boat but crew area is lacking considering the price
For the money, we thought it was very dull and nothing special
Yes it's a very pretty boat but I feel there is a fair bit of 'style over substance'. Definitely a boat for showing off rather than seriously travelling.
@Navy1977that range is at cruising speed. At hull speed you'll see about 1000nm
@Navy1977 cruise for a semi displacement yacht like this is 18 - 20 knots. Hull speed will be around 8 knots, it's the square root of the waterline length. Times 1.34 of that is displacement speed or maximum efficient speed.
1000nm might actually be conservative.
@Navy1977 I guess it says a lot about their intended customers; playboy weekenders. The only time the boat will pootle along at low speed is during a transfer between Mediterranean hotspots, with just the crew aboard. The owner and guests will show up in the Dassault.
I find it annoying that range at top speed is never quoted for boats. It varies on sea state, prevailing winds and currents.
@@ScapoloMichael hull speed is outdated and not of much value in modern naval design
Pricey!! Way better deals out there for $13M. Skinny interior. Won't be a great seller.
Nice, but the main cockpit has terrible visibility, you'll be piloting from the top deck even in bad weather
8 guests, 5 crew. One normal sized refrigerator.....I guess stop in port for food once or twice a day?
there's fridges all over.
You’re not getting much boat for $13m
That's a peculiar one. At a boat show, even a brand new yacht will have some "set dressing" which seems completely absent here. It almost feels abandoned, or dare I say it, a ghost ship. You say there are crew, but you wouldn't know it from your tour. Very strange.
This was filmed before the show had opened.
@@AQUAHOLIC That might explain the guest accommodations, but the crew areas looking unused too? Not a single possession, toothbrush, or piece of anything anywhere to suggest any crew has moved onboard. The galley, bare; the bridge, bare; the crew cabins, bare; the crew heads, bare. It's not that it is a bad thing, it's just strange when compared to your other tours.
those dinning table chairs look very, very, VERY, uncomfortable. And flimsy.
I don't like raised pilot houses, the view is poor, and no upper salon, sorry just not for me.
Can you explain what you mean? Is a raised pilot house the same as a flybridge? Also, what's an upper salon? Do you mean an enclosed flybridge? Thanks
@@RJMCafe many yachts of this size sacrifice sleek looks for an upper lounge aft of the wheelhouse, and a sundeck on top of that. All good but yachts should also _look_ good Imo, and the regular style preferred by the OP is top heavy and ungainly, especially with the dreaded sundeck hardtop. This is a much better looking yacht as a result of lacking all that.
@@ScapoloMichael looks over practicality?
@RJMCafe look at more yachts, and you will see for yourself
@@deniermurch8693 yes. An upper lounge is not always necessary; if the yacht's guests are friends they all share the one lounge without issues, like at home. Two lounges is good for business yachts where opposing parties like to discuss deals separately.
8:22 and they put the cheapest brand tv you can buy in the crew area? 🤨
Nice boat very stylish but restful decor. But for 13 million, id expect better access to the engine room. Dangerous.
But apart from that she a lovely boat.
This feels like they tried to fit a 150 layout into a much smaller boat and every last little bit had to be a compromise. None of it feels luxurious because all of it is too small. Definitely a scenario where less would have been more. Instead this boat looks like it was designed by ticking off boxes on a checklist.
Of course I'm not their target audience as I'm not buying any $13M yacht.
Maybe for 13 million, they could of made it up to look like it's livable. Captain would have more livable space in a jail cell
In Australia your videos air at 11pm. I like many others wait for our fix of Aquaholics. Always worth the wait. 🇦🇺 😊
Awesome! And ni night. 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC same for me, its a late wait but worth it for sure.
It‘s quite a sleek yet compact superyacht. I like that the access to the wheel station is separated from the access to the sleeping quarter so the work area and crew area could be kept as a whole. That's very rare for a 100 feet yacht.
The deco style is just proper, not too pompous, not too minimalist. I really love it.
Honestly? Those are some of the worst crew cabins ive ever seen.the captain sleeps in a broom closet and 4 crew share a wethead? Horrible accommodations.
Very disappointed in the Riva, everything is crammed in and restricted in all cabins and the main entertainment areas. Poor captain has to sleep in a box too! 😂
that is the least classy superyacht I've seen you review - genuinely looked cheap and classless to me
Why has a yacht that sleeps 10 got a dining table for 8 and a lounge for 6?
Why would anyone design a boat with a galley on the opposite end of the boat from the dining room?
FINALLY! There's not a lot of Riva related content on YT, at least not full length walk-throughs. This 102 Corsaro Super is amazing.
Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
That Riva is very swish. Was expecting a bigger galley though. What's the boat on the starboard side? That looks fast.
Stay tuned... 🙂
Hmmmmm, this or a Princess X95? Decisions decisions… (Might need a lottery win 1st)
Great job Nick from bringing us the best of the best . Keep it up always ❤🇿🇼
Thank you! Will do! 😃
Good looking yacht. Some specs would help.
I have really mixed feelings about this boat. Love the stern, that huge sun bed is sure to please those that are in to that. Really like the bow, for the very reasons you pointed out. Like the size of the guest cabins, just not so sure about the style, especially in the owner's, just underwhelms me. Though the bridge is nice, really like the layout, visibility is horrible, you certainly wouldn't want to maneuver in a marina from there. Thank goodness for the fly bridge helm. I disagree on the galley, seems terribly small when you consider chef will be cooking for up to 15 people. Too many better designed boats of this size for me. Enjoyed the tour though.
I agree, the minimalistic styling is completely underwhelming to the point where it's awful and bland! Just because the materials used are expensive, doesn't mean that the interior design is stylish!! I believe Nick said the cabin interiors were nicely muted; muted yes, nicely I beg to differ! The interior layout is not the best either, some areas are impractical. It's as if they focused all their time and talent designing the exterior and the interiors were an after thought!! If it weren't for Nick's wonderful tour of the yacht, I don't think many would give this yacht a second look given the stark design and price point! Riva should give Nick a commission!!!
Did Not take care of the crew at all. Cramp shared quarters & bathrooms & wet bathrooms at that!? And Captains cabin? Geez. Stingy. Take care of crew ; better/more able for duties.
Very nice tour Nick! I’m hesitant on this styling. I don’t care for the dining room. Like it closer to the galley. lol. Not my cup of tea. Like the wave!
$13 Million and no bath! My place is $500k and I have a bath however it doesn't float depend what you want ;)
Ah, the Master Cabin is decked out in modern hospital room I see. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Nice boat mate, but with this kind of money, I would go for the Sunseeker 100 for sure.
Layouts a bit iffy. The bathrooms are quite spacious. For the guests at least. But why oh why such tiny heads? And while we're on the topic of bathrooms. Surely the point of having a solid or opaque glass door separating the heads from the rest of the bedroom is to allow more than one person to use the bathroom at the same time. Great tour as usual.
Yet again, cabins for 10 people, but (cramped) dining for eight! Please explain.
One guest in each double bed 😉
I will never understand these expensive super yachts that don’t have hot tubs. That would literally be my only reason to get a super yacht.
I agree 100%.
If a superyacht doesn't have a hot tub it's because the owner didn't want a hot tub. If he/she did, it would have one. 🙂
That cockpit door closed just slow enough to let absolutely all of the air conditioning out.
The access to the main cabin and lower deck on the port side threw me. I think it’s the first one I’ve seen not on the starboard. Not a very incisive observation, admittedly. Great review once again though
I don't remember seeing another boat with the guest area on the left hand side. A left handed owner maybe 🤔
Some interesting features too.
13millions for this size boat? The fact that the automatic door on the aft seems faulty is a sign you’re not getting your moneys worth
What a soulless boat!
What a negative and pointless comment!
Surely that's what's needed if you want to add your own personal touch, though. A blank canvas _(apart from all the marble, which I hope is real for 13 million)_
OH GIVE OVER !!!! what personality are you gonna slap on yours GREY ?
I kept thinking it was "Reever" but it's actually Riva. As in reevah - it doesn't end in an R.
And if you’re from Massachusetts, it’s pronounced “Rivah”.
Nice video. Not my kind of boat
But nick is my kind of presenter
Visibility from the bridge looks to be a challenge.
Brilliant tour as usual!
Not so keen on the yacht. Obviously it’s superb quality being a Riva, but I wasn’t keen on the decor, layout and square edges everywhere.
Nice but I would rather have two pearl 95's for the money one for the med the other stateside
You'd need to buy a time machine as well in order to go back to the year that you could buy a Pearl 95 for that price... 🙂
Pearl 95 is £6.2 m on their website not including options I presume, I just thought the riva as nice as it is doesn't offer anything that the 95 can't give you , keep up your wonderful tour's nick love your work thankyou
@@riksmith6452 Indeed, so that's nearly 8 million dollars, and then as you say, you need to add the options and then pay the tax. I'm not saying Pearl aren't cheaper boats, just that they're not half the price of one of these. Glad you're enjoying the videos! 🙂
I wonder if there is a communication system onboard, so that the captain can let everyone know when his turning or accelerating the ship. Also I miss fridges in the cabins or the lobby area. Where do you store the shading posts, underneath the sitting areas?
It's a lovely boat but, the price is out of this world for far too many compromises... Great video Nick 👍👍
Negative - its a RIVA ! I did not see ANY COMPROMISES. The Style is absolute stunning, The beauty and rarity is why Nick has for the first time reviewed a new Riva. He has probably reviewed 50 Nordhavn's.
I've seen better made beds in a premier inn lol
that's the main deck master cabin wtf
As explained in the video, the beds were not made up.
Once again, sleeping for 10, dining for 8. Lol
I much prefer San Lorenzo's SL106a that is on the channel. Similar size, overall layout and money but in my opinion, much nicer execution. Not that I am ever going to be in the position to be making that sort of decision. 😢
I agree, the San Lorenzo SL106A is exquisite compared to the Riva Corsaro!!!
Yes , very minimalist , only 2 functional pillows on the bed . :-)
Hooray !
For some reason this yacht is not very impressive.
A boat with SO many mirrors! I could see myself living on that. 🤣
Ba boom, tish!
This is an owner operator dreeaamm boat
It is great to sea all these new boats being built and sold in good numbers .
With some larger vessels we hear about ' displacement tonnage ' ala Archi :-)
This has grown a lot over the years .
More and bigger vessels , warships too .
That displacement has changed radically over the last 100 years .
To what extent ? Drop in the ocean , many drops make a flood !
Maybe google it :-)
Then all the private boats , how many millions ? Are in a marina ?
Rising ocean levels might be caused by climate change and boats at sea :-)
Am 100m above sea level , was the beach some time ago :
Sorry for the rant !
Yet another brilliant tour Nick. More of a designers wet dream, rather than something I would want to spend much time on. Not very cosy or homely/homey. The poor captain must wake up thinking he’s inside a pine coffin. Perhaps I’m just not classy, or trendy enough to appreciate it. 🤓😂
I liked the layout of the Riviera you last posted, now if Riva could to the interior, and Nordhavn the redundancy...
You could add a trucker's mini fridge in the tender garage because obviously there is not enough refrigeration on the boat...hence why it sleeps 10 but only dines 8...."hey...2 of yas gotta eat out"
Didnt like this one, bridge had terrible view and no door leading out to help with docking. The main switch panel was next to guest couch and the drink holders were next to the main switch panel, seems like a very odd design. Dont think I could have a boat where the crew area is on the right instead of left, Id keep walking into the galley.
Apparently the vessel comes with its own Geiger counter out of respect for its flag of convenience - The Marshall Islands, home to Bikini Atoll.
I'll never understand why most of the yachts show dining tables for 2 less people than their maximum capacity. This one sleeps 10 but that table seats only 8...
Love your presentations (ya got some hairy kness there). Fab/Lux machine. Some areas seem rather colorless, unfinished.
It was nice! But, seemed extremely austere. Bit like an up market travel lodge. No art, no warmth, bit disappointing for an Italian boat!
If I ever decide to buy a yacht the last thing I would want is minimalist design interior. Unless it’s a Riva, they do things properly 👌🏼
Lot's of lovely Italian designed sharp edges and corners to rip my skin off. Lovely.
No hot tub?! 😢
stylish, but.. not my thing that minimalism.. looks a bit narrow from inside than outside.. otherwise stunning! and the video was high quality as usually 👍👍
Lovely yaght, luxury and well equipped, but small crew area and very compact galley.
Very nice, a little too much shiny mirror surfaces for me.. All I thought about was fingerprints! But stunning boat
If I were spending £13m I'd expect a lot more. Feels like more of a £5m yacht and smaller than its size.
Great video as always. Not my cup of tea (like I could ever afford one ! 😂) just found it a bit soulless if that makes sense. Decor wise it hasn’t much personality.
Nice best video biutiful house boat
Hello Nick. Geat tour on a slick stylish and beautifully finished yacht. Just one negative and its something I just don't understand, and that is why are the crew areas on such an expensive yacht so basic.
will you do a review on my broken lawn mower you can push it and even pull it and its even in stunning green with i must admit it has a chrome petrol cap sad to say tho it dont have any seats but does fit in the garage if pushed very hard and has a full canopy its ony 60 years old so i am sure you will be able to sell it and comes with the wife for free . you might have to bin the wife. thankyou. ronnie pickering. youtube star.
Really Crappy Crew Quarters 😢
Spectacular exterior but random interior : same italian minimalistic wood/steel/leather style as always.
Very nice vessel but i am a bit disappointed to see how the rooms have been decorated or specified? Very basic and minimalist looking.
I'm alil surprised a yacht of this size doesn't have a doorway into the engine room seem like abit of a hassle to climb in an out of it every time you need todo checks an I would assume you would like todo the checks daily but it is what it is i guess
This is the same as so many others. The bridge is down right ugly. The vision out from the bridge is very bad. This one is ugly.
It would be interesting if you went into detail on how this 103ft yacht gets under 24m Load Line Length and hull length.
Is it that the bathing platform is removable, nosecone is removable and the cutout in front?
It does. @Navy1977
Here's a video explaining in detail just how a boat that is clearly over 80ft (in this case 95ft) is legally considered under the 24m Load Line Length!! Many yacht manufacturers have used this brilliant naval architecture "cheat", so to speak! Remember, the 24m LLL applies to the molded hull length!!! ua-cam.com/video/Qq1cP6KrHfc/v-deo.html
Great tour, interesting boat, as you mentioned minimalist in design. Thanks Nick!
My pleasure!
13 Million?? There are better options for that money.
There are but they may not have the build quality and attention to detail of a Riva.
Who are you to tell people how to spend their money ?
Which is why when you have a spare $13 million to spend on a yacht you can decide exactly what yacht you want to buy. Kinda like the rest of us can choose to spend more on something like organic food, which is completely discretionary, vs non-organic. If you’re looking to tell people how to spend their money, the rest of us would urge you to gain employment in the CCP.
@@StarTraveler649 Where did I give advice, please? I merely expressed my opinion.
I don't give a shit how someone spends his/her money.
@@Whatever_fu Strange how people interpret a comment, I'm with you 13mil would buy me an absolutely beautiful full displacement ocean going exploration M/V not just a puddle jumping show pony
Felt small and pricey
Nice boat, Compliments to the crew, finally a well presented crew area, nice and tidy up to spec when they know there's gonna be filming on board, i would hire this crew in a second!!!!!
I think if I was the Captain of this yacht I'd want a bigger cabin and a heads I don't have to share
The Wave - Yes, I did worry that you'd forgotten. The knowing, Wave-less smile in the previous heads was a cunning ploy!!
I think we're so used to opulent interiors that the spartan decor in this one is a bit of a shock. I do like how much space the crew have, and all in the one area rather than tucking them away in nooks and pockets of space dotted around the boat.
Spectacular boat, Riva’s never disappoint! Thank you for the tour!❤
Our pleasure!
Needs more shiny wood
hello nice video what is the range at 12 knots please thank you
Range is 300 to 320 NM @ cruising speed, depending on sea state. Beautifully designed boat as we have come to expect from an Italian boat builder.
Hi Nick,And thank you for this nice show of this great and brand new Riva Corsaro Super Flybridge on Superyacht Sunday. In the salon first the dining area i like that then the cozy settee lounge area are very nice with the master on the main deck. Below 3 doubles and one twin all ensuite the bridge a good size when you look to the bridge from the bow it looks you look to the glass screen of a sports car great Thanks again Nick good show like always ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Not the best you have shown for the money ,don't like the layout
Nice. But my favourite is still the Sirena 88.
these is for business yacht I like it but the problem is not have a heliport
