Hi from southern New Zealand 👋 great news, I was concerned about you when I heard about that storm on the news but it looks like you came through nicely. I don't know how you fit these UA-cam videos In at all, I tried to make a video a few weeks ago when I was sorting out a hobbyist hive with really bad chalkbrood showing up and needless to say after six attempt's to shoot it, that was the end of my aspirations for a UA-cam channel 😂 what a blasted performance 😂 I'll stick to watching. Glad to hear that you're alright 👋😁

I am about 10 miles west of Aberystwyth and we got hit hard by the storm. All roads were closed with fallen trees and/or flooding and they are still a mess with debris and water everywhere albeit passable now. Thankfully all my hives stayed upright and with the roofs on. We did lose the power on Friday night though and it only came back today, roughly 82 hours later. That is a long time to be without heating, hot water, electric light, the hob, the oven, the fridge and the freezer, not to mention running out of charge on mobile phones, tablets, torches and everything else on battery power. Thank god I have a wood burner to keep warm and make some hot drinks on the top but I will seriously consider getting a domestic medium sized generator as these storms seem to become more and more regular.

it was pretty wild, some of my friends near me still dont have power (tues), a few of my double nucs got blown over but thats about it, and they were all rachet strapped so not too bad.... few. Glad you got though it ok with those 90 mph winds around your way. 10:49 its a mircale that didn't blow off

I think most of us thought the same way after the storm. I haven't heard of a lot of damage in our part of the world.
I wouldn't worry about the videos, make Hay while the Sun shines.

This is random but is your business named after an old vikings wife?

@gwenyngruffydd interesting. There was a woman named Gwen Gryffyd born in 1025 in Wales. I saw your name and it made me think of it.
