Thankyou chuck for bringing this car to light. Voodoo Larry ...you sir are a metal "alchemist" in the the old tradition.....you can stand amongst the giants of the lead sled greats.....Thank you for creating this work of the soul!
Longer, lower, wider. My favorite words when describing cars! That's some amazing work on that machine. I particularly liked how even though it's a major custom, he managed to maintain the Ford heritage look. By widening a stock 46 it is really reminiscent of a 46-48 Lincoln
This car is crazy beautiful in person. You can literally sit and stare at this car for hours. Larry is great to talk with and is always willing to explain how he did something. Nice guy and a phenomenal builder.
Check out dem hubcaps! They are great and I wanted a set in 1960, but, couldn’t afford them. Good to see the girls on a beautiful old custom. Thanks for posting and sharing this vlog with us.
Why haven't I hear of this guy his craftsmanship is AMAZING! I'm a "do it your selfer" yet I marvel at guys with this much talent . Thanks for uploading and sharing this piece of art.
G'day from Tasmania, thank you Chuck for showing this truly one of a kind unbelievable rod, you could run out of adjectives for it. Nice for Voodo to explain how he went about building her, fantastic. Regards John Kinnane Tasmania Australia a down under subscriber.
I just realized after watching this 10 times how much of a genius you are & how easy you make it seem . I really admire your buillds. I wish i I had your talent . Good job Larry...if you ever come to maui look me up , I have a 28 ford pickup that needs some ideas.
chuck, you take really nice slow smooth steady shots, and you edited it perfectly to coincide with what larry was saying. and i love how larry gave a nice calm relaxed explaination of the modifications too. i thought id say that, because i just noticed those things, because i noticed how relaxing and informative this video was, and i thought id let you know not only to complement your work, but to let you know to keep the videos coming just like this, because so many other videos on youtube are just so loud and obnoxious, and the video is all over th place, so good job chuck! ..also, i like how you let the owner talk, instead of cutting him off, like other interviewers do.
it's people like Larry that keep this culture alive. I live in New Zealand and we dont have access to these cool old cars, everything has to be imported then customised. our dollar doesnt go very far on ebay, then there is shipping on that. In saying that we have a huge custom car culture and there are some of us that still build the regardless of cost. I have a couple of vids of a Lincoln Continental custom I built, nothing like this but its all i could affrod to do. Well done Larry, Thx Chuck
Larry breaths, dresses up and drives cars like he was living in the 1950s. I could tell by how he dresses up like if he was a 1950s rock and roll star. The car looks very cool. Peace, Flood!
Truly a work of automotive art! Who is this guy? I've never heard of him before. He's truly an automotive artisan extraordinaire. He should have his own TV show.
@ChromeHellsmasher Hi ChromeHellsmasher, I do have a lot of viewers in New Zealand. It is amazing to me to be able to reach that far. Thanks for watching and commenting. Best regards,Chuck
I was in Christchurch, NZ for work in 2008 and saw a bunch of American customs and rods cruising through the City Centre around the Cathedral and the Heritage Hotel. I thought I was back in California. Nothing like Santa Maria but definitely cool.
the reason you don't see guys like this on discovery channel, is because these cars can't be made within the usual deadline the producers of those tv shows have in mind.
Truly a unique custom, amazing workmanship and imagination. Check out song "Ode to America's Old Automobiles" by Randy and the Retreads on most streaming services.
If you're talking about the naked lady hubcaps, no, Larry just painted them. Do a google search for "naked lady hubcaps", they're available at a few hot rod shops.
Simply amazing,beautiful hand fabrication!

What a true artist!
Should be a law limiting the talent of one individual. One fantastic ride .

3DPeter yeah and also they are not built for profit money this is real passion dedication.
Always loved the term "lead sled". Like the 70 Charger that I had some years ago (440 magnum). A lead sled that would pass anything but a gas station.
Amazing! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
love it its on my wish list
