@rooboru this is Lechner, that"s bariton is made in austria, the best musicans use baritons of that mark. It"s all handmade.

Wow. It seems so odd to see what I think of as an American design for a Euphonium in this context. It even sounds like the Conn short-action I played in high school. Beautiful sound.

Its not a euphonium. That is definitely a baritone. American style is odd I think as well though

@@mambojazz1 Have you ever seen one of these horns next to a "real Euphonium"? I own both a Conn 20-I and the marching version of the Besson New Standard. The Besson has a petty .020" larger bore and less than 1/2" larger bell. There is no such increased amount of cylindrical tubing. Euphonium elitism really needs to find its way to the bin where it belongs.

@@Markworth It may seem petty but Lechner Buam plays American style baritone not a euphonium. The bore and bell size makes a huge difference in the tone and the punch in the sound. Not the same instrument anymore than flugelhorn and trumpet are.

@@mambojazz1 No. It is not as different as Trumpet and Flugelhorn. Such tiny differences in bore and bell are't even the difference you can find in high brass of the same kind. Again, I can and have proved on video the physical differences are nearly nothing. Sounding different means nothing. A lot of horns of the same kind sound different. I can make a horn sound different with a mouthpiece. Many manufacturers engineer their Euphoniums to have a punchier sound. A proper "Baritone Saxhorn" should have around 25% cylindrical tubing, usually accomplished with a very long leadpipe or an early tuning slide. The American Euphonium, yes Euphonium, has no such thing. It is as conical as possible, being in the same level of body profile as every other Euphonium. Quit trying to give some elite status to the word Euphonium by making it so ridiculously defined. It's ridiculous, given the massive amount of diverse things that are deemed "just a baritone".
