This isn't a fair comparison, as they are both very different. One is a standalone unit that doesn't require a laptop, and the other is a Serato controller.
It's impossible to see the buttons on it. Why black on black? Thumb up for the video, thumb down for the color scheme. You still can change it Roland so, i can buy it.
The text/characters on the buttons illuminate well enough for my use, it may have been washed out by the ambient light in the video? It's not bad, definitely not a dealbreaker.
Why why why are these controllers CONTINUALLY marketed as "SERATO" controllers? Gives many people not in the know that they aren't compatible with anything else! Clueless marketing.
@@djkit Virtual DJ. The controller is not only made for Serato at all. My Denon MC6000 MkII is supposedly a "Serato Controller" but works flawlessly with VDJ.
@@njdenney69 Virtual DJ create midi maps so that controllers work with their software. There are very few controllers that are made specifically for Virtual DJ, but most controllers are midi mappable so they can work with all DJ softwares if you map them. No doubt the 707M, (and MC6000) will work with Virtual DJ, but they are made as Serato controllers.
It just refers to what software these controllers are built around - Serato through a number of partners (like Roland, Denon, Numark, Pioneer DJ etc), and Rekordbox through controllers made by Pioneer DJ. Pioneer have done some things with Rekordbox v.6 that's changed the relationship with pre-Rekordbox controllers, but provided you pay the cost of admission, you can use "Serato" Pioneer controllers in Rekordbox's performance mode (incl the S9 battle mixer, which no longer natively unlocks it unlike previously). At the end of the day, they're just devices talking to a computer via MIDI, so as long as more open software like Traktor & Virtual DJ can talk to it and vice versa, of course they'll work. But with regards the extra features like performance pads, one can argue they are designed to operate more seamlessly with the software it was built around. With Pioneer's XDJ XZ it's compatible with both Rekordbox and Serato, but I think people said that it wasn't exactly a 1:1 experience. In conclusion: I have the DJ707m, and it's fabulous. Very well built, well designed and with lots of impressive routing options that you don't see in controllers.
Absolutely outstanding! Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Can you connect a pioneer RMX 1000 to this controller
Denon prime go besides the battery 🔋 which one is better controller

@@djkit ok but just tell us which one would you choose which one whatever you say is good enough
If comparing the denon prime go as a controller not standalone this 707m blow it out of the water
Denon prime go which one is better
Can I still buy this from the website that's in the description and is it legit?
Absolutely legit, but we don't ship out of Europe!
Hi! Is it innofader compatible?
Yes, 😊i have an innofader in mine! Easy installation too! 🙌🏽

You could always customise it with some colourcaps: www.djkit.com/coolorcaps

What other softwares are you referring to Nick? This controller is made for Serato.

Roland has a contract with Serato, so they obviously won't mention a competing dj software.
