Nice video...Nice analysis...Had a question regarding the break...I see that Nissar Ahmed has used normal grip to break and not the usual scissor grip...Does it make a difference in the break or both are same as long as you are able to hit the intended first white coin at the correct point(as a double) with reasonable power? The reason I am asking is that the power seems to be less compared to scissor grip, but adequate enough to open up all the white coins correctly....
First of all, thanks for posting such a brilliant question! I cannot give an objective answer to your question Arun. For the matter of fact, noone can. but let me try & elaborate.. Usually a scissor grip break will give you more power than a normal grip break. Downside is, you will have to practice much more to gain consistency & mastery over a scissor grip break . On the other hand, a normal grip break will give you less power but more consistency practically without any practice as you are using it normally. Arun, actually you have already aswered your own question in the latter half of it 😃 If you are in a match situation /stress situation, go for things which are more consistent, which is what nisar is doing here. A good hit on the intended point of contact even with moderate power will save the day. Now if you have gained the mastery of doing the same with a scissor grip "Why not", and let's me honest to ourselves, we know whether we can do something. If your finger seems to be tired or your brain is going bonkers, better go for things on which can bank upon 100%. Also if you are playing with the a smoother surface (ex. potato starch powder), even with scissor grip - you will be obliged to reduce the power, so better use a more consitent grip which is easily repeatable for you with high accuracy then be it scissor, middle, index.. etc I am saying all these grips because there are many out there who use scissor or middle also as their natural/normal grip. Cheers!
Dear Abid Ali, Carrom is such a rich game & has been played in so many formats. This one, Nisar has played as per the current Indian national & international rules; also applied during the different tournaments. He has played 1 coin at base, yes. How about this one Sir :-ua-cam.com/video/Zy_cqm2FgcA/v-deo.html

@@CarromVnay Thanks
Playing base coins and arrow touching coins is not a true slam.
