I think I'm going to spend my coaching points on D-Line position(s), get my coach to specialize for recruiting and developing my D-Line players so I always got a strong pass rush front 4.
@@edw1n2 Ya as someone who still played NCAA Football 12, 13, and College Football Revamped (NCAA Football 14 mod) and hasn't touched a Madden in that time I am more than happy this is coming back finally. Even if it's somewhat sharing more in common with Madden in terms of gameplay I think as the series continues it'll develop into something of it's own. Plus I just wanna enjoy turning over some schools and bringing them back to glory. I play for Dynasty mode and recruiting not for Play Now. 1 more week!🤩
The thing I’m happy about is hopefully we see more pocket qbs in 14 I used them just for realism purposes but to see that certain archetypes can only get certain abilities is massive

One of my biggest takeaways is oline blocking is much better than madden. The pocket forms better on pass plays. The oline gets to the 2nd level more on run plays.
People have to remember that in Madden, you have decent rated lineman and other position players, but it college you will have true freshmans and others who won't have the best of ratings
I don’t care about the score, and I’m glad the game speed is fast. It’s just a little *too* fast, and I don’t like that Red in the passing meter is still catchable. It should be incomplete - otherwise it doesn’t make sense to have 3 different colors & meanings there. I’m sure they’ll fine tune things if anything is out of hand. This game is going to be amazing regardless.
Meh. It makes sense. It’s not often a qb is completely off the mark. The ball being thrown behind or low or high does make sense and does make all the difference in a catchable ball. You see it all the time in real life. If the qb places the ball perfectly and hits the wr in stride it’s a big play but he throws it a bit low or behind and it’s a incompletion or the defense closes out for a short gain
I am curious if more players opted out than we were lead to believe. It’s a small sample but 2 out of the 6 RBs on the Michigan depth chart in game are fake.
Also they played on pro difficulty. Playing on the harder difficulties would make Defending much better I’m sure but yeah you are right it’s College. It’s going to be high scoring and Defense won’t matter as much.

NFL everyone is phenomenal - even the 2nd,3rd string players. Also , Bordeaux said they both were blowing a lot of coverage and user tackles so it gave up big points.

Nobody is paying attention to the fact that in the dynasty video we saw, none of the other 100+ colleges were fighting for the #2 QB in the class, the logic is not working properly and please don’t give me the early build excuse. Also, the stats at the end of the season were really weird and not an accurate representation of college football last season
The “this is college football” doesn’t really hold water. This was 3 minute quarters on the hardest difficulty setting. Initial impressions are the offense is OP. Guess we’ll know next week if it’s a concern.
My issue is the decision-making by AI Middle Linebackers. And pursuit tackle animations by DBs. Just look at some of the Donovan Edward's big plays during the gameplay.

People should be penalized for not punting in these games. That changes everything. That’s the number one thing that will even the playing field. It should be way harder to complete 4th and 30 without a “cheese” or “Over powered” play.

Partially incorrect, you can setup a pipeline by hiring a coach with a pipeline attached to him. That’s what i meant, or when you create your coach, you can set a pipeline state

I was more excited about the Cocoa Beach series than this. This "new" thing is just Madden with a bias/tilt toward big plays and blowouts. Games have seen surprisingly little in the way of innovation/improvements in the last 20yrs. As a whole, content creators are far too satisfied with the same old mediocre riffraff. Too worried about likes and subs to campaign for real change. Anyone ever turn down an invite from EA to test out the 47th version of some game that was BETTER 10+ years ago? *EXACTLY*. Supposed to be ambassadors of competitive sports gameplay. More like self serving sellouts.

I’m pumped for the game, but too many channels have those rose tinted glasses on. Also, that “6 inches from the numbers” comment isn’t good. There needs to be way more incompletions and over/underthrown balls. EA has always struggled with too high paaaing % with too many interceptions.
You do know they edited the video right? There were plenty of incompletions in the Bordeaux video. Why would EA want to show incompletions that would just be dead time for a reveal.

Blowouts happen in College Football a hell of a lot more then it does in the NFL.

Depends on the momentum of one side or the other. Definitely saw as the games went on, O line got weaker

The QB backpeddle looks wayyyy too fast. Orji backpeddles like 8 yards in 1.5 seconds. Everything seems too fast doesn't it?
