Wow!! What a great video. Very detailed information. 4 short questions. Would it be worth it to have the veranda or is the French balcony enough? Am I correct that you ate dinner in a few areas that weren’t the main dining room? You mentioned that the Rhine and Danube were prettier in the beginning of video, do you still think so? Were there many locks to go through as these riverboats normally go through and how were they? Thanks again for one of the best videos I’ve seen on river cruises.
Thank you. I hope you'll let me plan your next vacation. Most river cruises have French balconies and not full balconies. For me it's fine I like to lay on the bed with the doors open. With a balcony usually they auto close so you don't do that. It is always nice to have a coffee out on your balcony though but when you're in port, you're up against other ships so you can't really use your balconies then. Bordeaux water is muddy and dirty looking, it's not as pretty as the Danube or Rhine but it's not about the river really. I don't actually remember whether we went through locks. I'd have to rewatch my video!

Meanwhile.... I can look out my living room windows and balcony and see cruise ships literally across the street at the Port of Tampa Cruise Terminals! And I hate Caribbean Cruises! Took one... and was hoping to be airlifted off the ship by the next day! Took a Trans-Atlantic cruise last May on the Cunard Queen Mary 2... Now that was a glamorous affair. Trip with 200 vintage clothes enthusiast. 1920's & 30's clothing every day. White Tie & Tails every night with our own Orchestra! What an event!

Were you in premium economy from Austin to Frankfurt? I’m going in Oct to take the Viking Rhône River cruise and we fly to Munich with a short connection before our flight to Marsaille on Lufthansa. Very concerned about making the connection.
No just economy but I was in the first row after premium. Give yourself 2 hours for connection if you can. Let me book your next trip! Have fun!
Bordeaux is on the river GARONNE.... its not on the river BORDEAUX !!!!!.
Yes Max, if you read the description of this video you’ll see that I was on three different rivers including the Bordeaux and the Garonne.
@@LaineyMelnick There is no river called " Bordeaux river ". Theres the Garonne river, and the Dordogne river, their is NO Bordeaux river.
