I remember going on this tram more than ten years ago. The floor had raised bits on it. I went on with my mum and she was a few people ahead of me trying to find a seat. I remember looking away for a second and by the time i looked back she was on the floor with her legs sticking up in the air, she had tripped on a raised section on the floor. One of her shoes had flown off somewhere and we couldn't find it at the time. We couldn't stop laughing the whole tram ride, i almost died from not being able to breathe through the laughing, especially as she was now missing a shoe. At the end of the ride as we were getting off another person on the tram returned the shoe to her.
Thank you for sharing your funny and memorable experience with the old tram! We're glad your mom's shoe was returned to her haha 😄Hope you can visit the new tram soon they don't have raised bits on them anymore. Safe travels! 😊
Thanks you so much for this new remarkable video about Hong Kong,China to shows these remarkable places in July of 2023❤❤❤❤Remarkable video to watch in great joy 2023❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed the video! We're not really sure if you can use another card to pass through the machine. But you definitely can use your credit/debit card when purchasing a ticket from the Peak Tram ticketing booth. ☺
Thank you for your kind comment! The queue was pretty fast. We only had to wait around 5 to 10mins to ride the tram. Hope you enjoy your trip to Hong Kong! ☺
Thanks a loot for the information! Its really helpful! Also id like to ask, is it better going and paying for the sky terrace or going to lion pavilion and the peak galeria for free??
Glad you enjoyed the video! To be honest, the best option is always free haha! There are many great views around the peak, like the lion pavilion that is for free. You just need to walk a bit further to see those hidden spots around the mountain.
Hi there! We just took the plain Peak Tram ticket in the video. The 3rd floor of the Peak Tower is where you can get the views of Sky Terrace but for free! 😁Happy travels!
We would recommend you allot at least 4 hours to go around the key places at the Peak or even give a bit more time if you want to have a chill walk along the Victoria Peak Garden Path or the Hong Kong Trail outside of the tower. Hope you have a fun trip! 😊
That's alright! You can keep the single trip ticket. Especially if you use your Octopus card. There is no price difference with the total price of the fare even if you purchase a single ticket from the Peak and back or a round trip ticket as both will cost you HK$88 for adults or HK$44 for kids/seniors. You can refer to this section of the video: ua-cam.com/video/sw0sD5j3QvQ/v-deo.html. Hope it helps ☺
@@v23v Yes! Using the Octopus card you no longer need to line up at the ticketing booth. Just tap the card at the machine and you can go to the tram hassle free ☺
They changed the color of the tram on purpose to erase the british history of hong kong. It used to be red, just like many peak trams in the british commenwealth (wellington new zealand… etc).

Hi is the tram wheelchair accessible?
Thanks for sharing this video. Big help for me while planning to visit Peak today

I bet that's not the case, the 2nd and third generations of the Peak Trams are painted in green too.
