It's just sad..Fukuzawa told Mori not to choose Yosano because she won't tolerate being his assistant again, But what about Dazai? Even though Fukuzawa knows well that Dazai was in the pm and how much he hates Mori but he didn't say anything to Mori about not choosing Dazai..

As interesting it might seem, I doubt Mori would take Dazai back in. Yes, Dazai returning to the PM would be beneficial for them and it seems legitimate that Mori would want him back but considering the fact that Dazai is way smarter it wouldn't be hard for him to take his position. I don't think Mori would gamble such possibility. Remember that one scene where Dazai said that Mori was afraid that he would take his position that's why he let Dazai leave the PM ?
And you know Asagiri likes probably likes to give us unexpected plot twists. Though this speculation of mine might be a little too far from the track but the PM might be planning to take someone who has "an ability that is perfect for assassination" 👀 (No, not Kyouka)
And that person also said that they would rather go in place of Yosano if the PM choses her (in S4)

I would hate asagiri if he makes Dazai return to the pm. Dazai tried so hard to be a good person he can’t just return to the pm like this, it’s like he did all of this for nothing. I really hope Dazai won’t return to the pm or I might stop read and watch bsd…
yeah but all the signs point to it being dazai and either way dazai is very self sacrificing so he would offer himself up if he found it necessary mori has even kept dazais seat open as an executive so really theres not a lot of hope it not being him 😭 especially since mori can’t choose yosano to go back since fukuzawa forbid it ( sobbing rn :D)

lol its very unlikely that dazai would be the one to return to the PM, Mori is legit so afraid of him so why would dazai be the one to go? i think the one to go to the pm would be atsushi or tanizaki.
Like, Dazai don't want to return to PM. People say that he didn't change, and is not even trying, but he also sacrifise him self for Sigma, and now he would sacrifice him self, only for the others don't go to PM (because Dazai know how PM is difficult), he also apologise to Akutagawa, and help Atsushi (and also Kyoka). But, like in season 1( when the agency try to save Atsushi, when Dazai was captured by PM ), they aren't thinking how would Dazai feel. They don't even try to understand him (like, why is he so childrish, and the suicidal thing). And now Dazai it's the bad person. It looks like the agency, nither Fukuzawa care for Dazai ( somehow). He want to change, but Mori made him looks like a person that only cares for himself, and don't care for anythink or anyone.
I love how everyone in the comment section is talking about the deal, lmao. I want to say my opinion as well.
Dazai, Tanizaki and Atsushi are the most likely choices.
Yosano is a no go, Fukuzawa forbid it. Ranpo is just too uncooperative. Even if he joined PM, he doesn't care about it and would find ways to make chaos in mafia's order. Kunikida is just too right for the mafia. Kyoka wasn't more than a secondary tool. I don't think Mori will look twice at her. Plus, Kouyou will stand up for her because she's happy that Kyoka found the light. Kenji doesn't seem to fit into the whole mafia thing as well, he will never kill anyone.
• Atsushi? Well, he is a main character and it could be possible. In addition, his first meeting with Mori was with Mori guiding him how to resolve a problem and Mori assessing his powers.
• Tanizaki? Less likely than Dazai and Atsushi, but still a higher possibility than other detective members. It was stated by the mafia lizard team that he would make a good assassin. Tanizaki is also able to kill (at least, whenever Naomi is at risk his bloodthirst shows itself). Tanizaki's ability would also be useful for a shadowy business like mafia.
• Dazai... Oof boy. He's got the highest chances and you can't deny it. Yes, Mori doesn't feel safe about him, but Mori will get back Soukoku that are a pretty powerful duo on a daily basis & get beck an amazing strategist. It's dangerous for Mori to choose Dazai, yes, but they are familiar with each other. Mori has an executive seat open just for Dazai and even invited him back to the mafia at some point. And just thinking of how tragic it would be if Dazai - a character that tried so hard to change - gets pulled back into this hellhole. Dazai will have a choice: betray Oda's wish or to finally try to die since Yokohama is saved and his services are not needed anymore. You see my point? And no, his character development won't be erased just because he will be chosen like some here wrote. It's like leaving a bad environment, healing and then going back - you see how awful the bad environment is and you either leave or adapt again. I'll certainly be sad if Dazai gets chosen, but life is unfair and it makes the most sense.
(Also, please don't say that you're gonna be mad at Asagiri, stop reading bsd just because Dazai gets chosen or something. It's really rude towards the author. Bsd is not only entertainment, but it also shows that life is not some rainbow n glitter. Saying: "I'll find where Asagiri lives and beat him up if Dazai goes back to mafia" makes you mental and in need of psychological help 💀)
It's been hinted at enough! I pray that Dazai will return to the Mafia it would everything so much more interesting!

I PRAY THE OPPOSITE!!! Dazai was traumatized, underfed, abused, possibly SA'd, and more in the mafia. He might not be much better in the ADA, but he was a little better off physically and mentally, mentally stimulated by people that care about him, reminded to eat. Kunikida actually wrote in his book to check on Dazai. They might not have tried to actually STOP his suicidal antics and get him help, but he was better off there. Dazai was even more better off in PRISON. 3 full meals, showers, and constantly stimulated by Fyodor. It would be so much worse for him to go back to the Mafia, because even if he had Chuuya along with him, Mori could do anything he wanted because he's the boss.

While Dazai would absolutely hate going back into the PM I think I'd be interesting. Dazai, who has tried so hard to change, suddenly back in the very place he started! I know this prob won't happen because so many are against it, but I think I'd be really enjoyable to read/watch!! (GUYS I GOT NO LONGER HUMAN AND CRIME AND PUNISHMENT FOR CHRISTMAS 😆😆)

I'm pretty sure lots of people are against Oda's death, but Asagiri still killed him off. Asagiri doesn't look at the emotional side of how he will continue the show, but the logical one. It's one of the many reasons I absolutely LOVE BSD since all events have logic behind them instead of it just being there for practically no reason.

Wanna know something that I realized about the end of the video? If Dazai was willing to go back to Mori so he could prevent the others from being taken, what would’ve happened if Dazai DIDNT know?
My mind goes straight to the next thing, Atsushi. If Dazai wasn’t awake and Yasano refused to go back, what would happen if Atsushi voluntarily went? Mori’s attention would have definitely been tempted toward Kyouka since she’s closer to his preference(little girls), so Atsushi putting himself forward makes sense. Plus to Mori’s advantage, he can see it as a deal for Double black 2.0 to continue for PM, just like it did for Chuuya and Dazai.

Mori can be the worst person I've ever seen, but he is a good leader. Like, he wouldn't chose Yosano, just for fun, because she isn't the best option. Kyoka or Tanzaki, or ever atsushi would be better. Mori would chose Dazai since the beggining, not only for fun, but also Dazai is perfect for the Mafia. His ability and skils, his intelligence, his power. He was literaly the yongest executive in the history of PM, and also the man that the others fear most ( Mori is afraid of Dazai ). So why, WHY, Fukuzawa is so Dumb, and chose to protect Dazai, insted of Yosano?
I don't think Fukuzawa knew how "close" Dazai and Mori were so because of Yosano's ability he think he'd take her because she can just bring back the mafia members

I feel like even though Dazai is the member mori wants most he won't choose him there's a higher possibility that he chooses tanizaki or atsushi because tanizaki has a great ability which can be very helpful for assassination and he can become an assassin for the pm and well atsushi is atsushi

mori ougai is my fav character (i hate him as a person!! i just think he's very interesting as a character to anaylize) so the first video being about him made me happy :3
as much as i dont want dazai to return to the mafia, it makes a lot of sense. the visuals in the anime, the agancy being usually shown without dazai after canibalism arc, the ending of "no longer human", and the fact that dazai's character is not completed yet, plus there is another strategist at the agency already, so if dazai left there would be someone who could easily replace him. i think dazai's past (b4 the port mafia) will be shown once he offers to join the mafia so that nobody else had to go.

(spoilers for that book ofc) it ends with the main character's brother getting him out of the psych ward and then offering him a house in the area around their father's house. the mc agrees to it despite all the trauma he lived through there. He ends up reliving that trauma, and at the very end of the book it is stated that it's unclear wheter he's alive or not. sorry if i'm not making any sense i'm not good with explaing stuff and it's been a while since i read no longer human :')@@yuzublnovels
